You can have polls and then there’s also Facebook’s live feature. Then there’s also a feature called ‘frames’ that helps in brand awareness. Go to Facebook camera effects – create an account, it will automatically fetch your page and ask you to create a frame, here you upload your created frame – add the proper title, description and keywords. Now, coming to Facebook Messenger, many features like we see on Instagram or Snapchat and also has an additional features like cutting a video. FB messenger tool is sufficient to create an instant picture. If you have a page on Facebook, you can target audience organically too under Preferred Page audience or you can also restrict or exclude audience. Another feature for pages is Branded Content – request from the brand you want to partner with – request FB to add this feature to your page – brand associations.

HOW THEY DID IT : 50,000 REGISTRATION FOR INDIA’S LARGEST HACKATHON
Coming up with a marketing plan on paper and practically applying it is not the same. I’m sure a lot of you who have been part of this scenario can relate. And this is exactly what Mr. Narendhiran, Marketing Manager, Hacker’s Earth shares with us in this Podcast. The 145th episode of Digital India Podcast on FIR Podcast Network is brought to you by staff and students of  Web Marketing Academy Mr. Narendhiran was responsible for coming up with a marketing plan for an event – ‘India’s biggest Hackathon’. He talks about the various ‘hiccups’ he came across starting from proposing the plan. He didn’t think of considering the budget before proposing the plan to his manager. This may sound amateur to us but, Mr. Narendhiran expresses how every mistake had helped him learn, grow and explore. He mentions how and why he chose the platforms; be it E-mail, Google’s Display Network, Facebook, Linkedin or Twitter. He even explained what offline channels he chose and its impact on the changes that reflected in analytics. How he was able to use IFTTT for Google Display Network to solve another ‘hiccup’ he encountered and got approx. 1200 results from it. He takes us through every decision he took (offline or online), why he took it and what impact it had. Though he achieved the set goals through his marketing campaigns, Mr. Narendhiran talks excitedly about the mistakes and problems he stumbled upon and the hacks it led to. One learns more from the mistakes he makes than the success he achieves. The only flaw with the mistakes you make is not learning something new. And Mr. Narendiran’s humble learnings encourage us to make new mistakes so we are encouraged to explore more. DESIGN THINKING, A PRIMARY TOOL FOR MARKETERS AND Cx PROFESSIONALS WITH DAVE
Suresh Babu of Web Marketing Academy India and William David McCann discuss how to truly add value to a customer’s purchase journey, without inundating them with spam. The 144th episode of Digital India Podcast on FIR Podcast Network is brought to you by staff and students of  Web Marketing Academy Podcast Summary: Customer Experience is not customer service, customer success, or sales.  It’s the the sum of all interactions a customer  has with an organization beginning from awareness of a need, through purchase and usage. The modern customer, whether in India, Canada, or Japan has counter-measures to block out corporate marketing efforts. Why do they do this? Because of an avalanche of SMS’s, emails, and targeted advertising. Strategies like content marketing allow the modern marketer to present useful information when the customer is looking for it, and is structured to put the customer in control of when and how they receive the information. Understand how your customer thinks and feels, know what she says and does, then compile this into a customer persona, and map their experience using a customer journey map. Armed with this kind of information, a content marketing strategy will add real value to your customers, build awareness, and maximize conversions.
