Just when you think you have things figured out, life loves to throw you a curveball, or at least that’s been our experience!
Alexia, Doug, and Jacob are married, yes, married. In this family, there's one wife and two husbands and they want you to know they're normal and just like any other family. The three of them live in Ohio where together they raise their three kids, juggle regular jobs and the ups and downs of family life.
Their views on love, family, and acceptance of others are refreshing, insightful, and sure to make you second guess judging their lifestyle. They're hoping to fight the stigma attached to polygamy; their lifestyle isn’t based on religion and is solely based on love. A love in which the person you love feels free. They are like any other family, except theirs consists of one wife and two husbands.
In this episode of Going Through It, Natalie returns to celebrate GTI's one year anniversary with Kenechi. The women reflect on the ups and downs they've been through in the last year and discuss some important life updates.
Like last year, they share their plans for Valentine's day, except this year one of them is now single :/
On this episode of GTI, Nicole Nam, entrepreneur, fitness guru, host of the Vibing in Valentino podcast, and social media influencer discusses her experience with interracial dating, her struggle to live up to Asian beauty standards and her determination to be successful in her own right, despite her family's privilege.

In this episode, Kenechi discusses the definition of consent, what is and isn't consent, and the rights one has to say no at any time.
There are many layers to this discussion and a lot left to be understood. This was a brief discussion on the matter with broad details. Consent and all that comes with it will be discussed in-depth with professionals in a future episode.
Was it rape? That's the question Kenechi has been asking herself for over a decade! She's remained silent, unable to speak of the experienced that has puzzled her for so many years, until today.
In this episode of Going Through It, for the first time ever, Kenechi details her traumatic experience of losing her virginity at the tender age of fourteen and the effects living in denial caused her.
If you've been a victim of physical, sexual, or verbal abuse, please remember that it is NEVER your fault. You are NOT alone and you WILL get through it.

Sex Trafficking. Did Some vision of Liam Nissan's Taken, or images of children in third world countries being sold come to mind when you read the words "sex trafficking"? If so, you're not wrong; however, in reality, many cases of sex trafficking don't occur as those depicted in the movies. A large number of cases occur right here in the U.S. and many aren't as dramatic.
In this episode of Going Through It, sex trafficking survivor, L. Rodgers, recounts her story of being trafficked in one of America's most famous cities, New York City. L is an Americana/Soul Singer, songwriter, former American Idol contestant, and proud member of the LGBTQ+ community. When she left Baltimore at 21 to make her broadway dreams a reality in the Big Apple, she had no idea her dreams would be stolen from her and her main focus would become survival.
L's story is one of endurance, bravery, and resilience. She shares her experiences through her music and appearances, in hopes of helping other survivors cope or preventing women from becoming sex trafficking victims.
