This week's episode dives into the power of breathwork. Jesse Bennett is a children’s book author, wellness expert, and Yoga and Pilates teacher. She is trained in both prenatal and kids yoga and has been teaching for over 20 years. Her mission is to inspire kids to believe in their power to make the world a kinder, gentler place. Jesse is the author of four children’s books,
The Yoga House, Sunshine, Lift, and Ripple – all written and illustrated by her. Each book considers the power of kindness, encouraging children and parents to be good to themselves and to one another.
Her first book, The Yoga House (Archway, September 2018), was inspired by her
children, who were having trouble sleeping. She began doing guided meditations and
breathing with them to assist in their sleep. The additional books in her series include
Sunshine (Archway, May 2019), Lift (Archway, October 2020), and Ripple (Archway,
January 2023). Her kids mean the world to her, and the books are all about helping
children grow up loving who they are, choosing kindness towards themselves, marching
to their own beat, and believing they are limitless.
Today, Jesse teaches Yoga and Pilates at
Lifetime Fitness, and is the in-house wellness
expert at Good Day Sacramento.
Jesse currently resides in Roseville, California with her dog and two kids. When she’s
not teaching yoga or Pilates, she starts the morning in sunny doing her skincare routine,
lighting a candle, and stepping on her yoga mat for her personal practice, ending with a
meditation.
