examining the architecture, design and technology behind Disneyland and other theme parks around the world
Today we’re discussing theme park capacity at Star Wars:Galaxy’s Edge at Disneyland and Hagrid’s Coaster at Universal Studios and why it’s not always productive to look at attractions merely by how many people can squeeze onto them.
I recorded an episode last week on the capacity of various theme park lands and what we might be able to expect from Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. I sat down this evening with every intention of editing and publishing that episode. That did not happen. This happened instead. I hope you enjoy and know that this is a huge thank you note to all the imaginative people at Universal Creative, WDI and the companies they hire to help build the places we love. Thank you!

Projection mapping is thought to be over-used in themed entertainment, but I’d like to convince you otherwise. Let’s take a quick dive into the history and state-of-the-art of the technology that promises to create true augmented reality.
