In this episode, we talk about a recent visit to Bryce's therapy center to learn more about his speech and occupational therapies. It was very helpful and has sparked some ideas for his upcoming plan updates.
We also talk about our recent trip to the Georgia mountains as well as Bryce's recent reading assessment.

In this episode, we talk about Bryce's recent regression with anxiety and sensitivity to certain sounds, specifically crying children. We have been away from home quite a bit the past two months which could explain why this behavior has returned.

In this episode, we talk about Bryce's recent sleepover with his best friend, Michael, and how we helped him work through his hurt feelings and emotions.
It's not easy to watch your son struggle with his feelings of hurt and sadness. It's also not easy to figure out the right words and instructions to help teach your son who thinks in a completely different way that yourself. We are very grateful that the Lord continues to give us wisdom as we pray for it daily!
We also talk about how we may feel isolated at times because we don't have others to help care for Bryce - However, we each need to relook at our situation and make sure that we are making the effort to help others understand our children and learn to TRUST! We know from experience that it's not easy and takes time. We have also learned from experience the importance of being able to have some quality time together without Bryce and to also allow Bryce to spend time with others who love him and want to spend quality time with him.

With Father's Day in the month of June, Sandy talks to Chris Chris about the challenges and the rewards of being the primary caregiver for Bryce during the early years of his autism. He talks about his guilt, his research, his depression, and how he overcame it. He also talks about Daddy School and how he has found ways to bond with Bryce by meeting him where he is at with his different interests and progressing comprehension.

In addition to taking action steps recommended in the book, we are also watching the Rick Warren online study, "What on Earther Are We Here For?" Both of these resources are helping us align together for God's plans for us in this next season of life.
We also share some highlights from the past week including homeschool, an IMAX movie viewing, and community service sewing pillowcases for Ryan's Case for Smiles.
Bryce's Bible Class is from Bob Jones University. The first grade curriculum was a perfect fit for him, and the second grade curriculum, "A Servant's Heart", appears to be a good next step for him.
