Sola Scriptura (3/12): The Reliability and Sufficiency of Scripture
The reliability and sufficiency of Scripture affirm that the Bible is trustworthy and entirely adequate for guiding faith and practice. Its reliability stems from its divine inspiration, historical accuracy, fulfilled prophecies, and preservation over centuries. The sufficiency of Scripture means it contains all we need for salvation, spiritual growth, and godly living, as outlined in 2 Timothy 3:16-17. It provides a complete framework for understanding God, humanity, and redemption without requiring supplementary revelations or texts. While tradition, reason, and experience can complement, they must align with and submit to Scripture's authority. Trusting in the reliability and sufficiency of God’s Word equips believers to navigate life with confidence, grounded in His truth.

Sola Scriptura (2/12): The Inspiration and Infallibility of Scripture
In this episode Dale is going over Sola Scriptura which is a foundational doctrine in Protestant theology that asserts Scripture alone as the supreme authority in matters of faith and practice. This means that the Bible is seen as the ultimate and final guide for what Christians believe and how they should live, surpassing any other authority, such as church tradition, councils, or church leaders. The doctrine emerged as a central tenet of the Reformation, distinguishing Protestant beliefs from those of the Catholic Church, which also regards tradition and the authority of the Church as key sources of truth.

In this episode of Real Christianity, Pastor Dale Partridge begins a three-part series on refuting Catholic doctrines about Mary, focusing first on the perpetual virginity of Mary. Drawing on both Scripture and theological analysis, Dale critiques Catholic claims by examining biblical evidence, including references to Jesus' siblings, which challenge the idea of Mary’s perpetual virginity. The discussion highlights the importance of these Marian dogmas within Catholicism, where denial leads to excommunication and is seen as jeopardizing salvation. For Protestants, refuting these doctrines is vital to upholding biblical authority and Christ-centered theology.

Can A Christian Lose Their Salvation?
In this episode of Real Christianity, Pastor Dale Partridge addresses the doctrine of "Perseverance of the Saints," also known as "Once Saved, Always Saved," a central tenet of Calvinism. He explains that true salvation, once granted by God's grace, cannot be lost because it is God who sustains the believer's faith, not human effort. Pastor Dale contrasts this with the legalistic belief that one can lose salvation and must work to keep it, highlighting that faith is a divine gift rather than an intellectual decision. Through scriptural references, he emphasizes that saving faith is a supernatural trust in Christ, produced by the Holy Spirit, and that our spiritual life and understanding are entirely dependent on God's initiative, not our own will or works.
