Childfree Loudmouths with Lilith and Balthazar

Childfree Loudmouths Podcast is by, and for, those who have chosen the childfree lifestyle (or parents with a morbid sense of humor). We give voice to the voiceless and undervalued of society- those who may or may not like kids, but have found joy and fulfillment because of, not in spite of, not breeding. This podcast is loud, outspoken and completely unapologetic about the choice to be childfree, and others' respective right to not be subjected to someone else's poor parenting.

    Ep. 6: Ruined Dates

Despite unexpected audio problems, Lilith and Balthazar are back for Season 2… if not (yet) with the audio quality to which you’ve grown accustomed! It seems we still have a few kinks to work out of our new and hopefully soon-to-be improved recording methods.

This time we’re catching up after some recent holidays and celebrations. We’ll talk about how breeders negatively impacted our past Valentine’s Day dates, Balt’s birthday & Mothers’ Day! How have irresponsible and inconsiderate parents impacted your own special events and celebrations? If you’re a childfree woman, how do you handle Mother’s Day? We want to know! We’ll also update you on how far the podcast has spread across the map in our absence.

From the News: American kids are 70 percent more likely to die before adulthood than kids in other rich countries

Balt also mentioned a Reddit thread with list of childfree-friendly clinics which will reduce barriers for tubal ligations, you can find it here.

    Ep. 4: Vasectomies and Stuff

Childfree Loudmouths’ co-hosts, Lilith & Balthazar, are back! We’re sharing more listener e-mails (moderately edited for clarity and length), one of which includes a listener-submitted parent-couple which was chosen as our Asshole(s) of the Week for their bullying behavior! After dissecting the e-mails for more reasons which might fit into Balt’s previous theory that the reasons for breeding come down to two motivations, we get personal. Balt shares some of his reproductive history, his experience with getting a vasectomy and he addresses many of the myths and misconceptions about the procedure.

If you’re interested in the podcast Balt referenced in this episode, you can find it through We Hate Movies or go to the episode directly here. Meanwhile, we’re still playing “Stump the Balthazar” and taking submissions for reasons breeders may have children which wouldn’t fall under the headings of insecurity and/or vanity. Can you think of one? We’re also, as always, taking your submissions of personal stories to share with other loudmouth listeners!

Ep. 3: Two Big Reasons (PLUS Extra Stuff)

    Asshole of the Week: #EntitledBreeder

Childfree Loudmouths’ co-hosts, Lilith & Balthazar, share listener submissions from our twitter’s last call to action: “What’s the most metal thing about being childfree?” After a debate as to whether parents put more thought into a vehicle purchase or the financial obligations of parenthood, discover the lucky #entitledbreeder who earned our Asshole of the Week spot. With Listener Mail from Sarah & AndThisStillLife, we share responses from fans including how they’ve experienced bullying behavior from breeders for being childfree as well as some of our favorite tweets since the last episode and exploring the phenomenon of “lawnmower parenting“.

In this episode, Balt suggests every rationale to breed comes down to two reasons; listen to find out what they are! What do you think? Are you ready to play “Stump the Balthazar?” Send us your thoughts and submissions of reasons you’ve heard others give for breeding to add to our list!

Ep. 2: Privacy and Push Back

Join Childfree Loudmouths’ co-hosts, Lilith and Balthazar, as they share some of the stories and responses fellow listeners have shared over the past two weeks! After reviewing some of our other favorite child-free interactions on social media since our debut episode, we’ll talk about who made our Asshole of the Week list. Balt also shares an interesting article on adult bullying and theorizes such bullying behaviors could be attributed to many breeder-populations in their interactions with those who are childfree by choice. What do you think? Do you have experiences in which breeders’ behavior fit the description of adult bullying?
