Today, we saw the Sensex and Nifty ending in the red, and it wasn’t a pretty picture. The market faced, uh, significant selling pressure, particularly in the financial and energy sectors. Overall, all sectors were in the red today, except for IT, which surprisingly saw a boost, up about 3.4%.

India’s benchmark indices closed in the red today. The BSE Sensex dropped 528.28 points to settle at 77,620.21, while the Nifty 50 declined 162.45 points, or 0.69%, to close at 23,526.50.

The BSE Sensex dipped by 50.62 points, closing at 78,148.49, a 0.06% drop. On the other hand, the Nifty 50 index also saw a slight decline, down 18.95 points, ending at 23,688.95 or a 0.08% decrease.

The benchmark indices, Sensex and Nifty, bounced back nicely. The Sensex rose by 234.12 points, closing at 78,199.11, which is a gain of about 0.30%. Meanwhile, the Nifty 50 closed at 23,707.90, up by 91.85 points or 0.39%.

Sensex fell 720.60 points (-0.90%) to 79,223.11, while Nifty lost 183.90 points (-0.76%) to 24,004.75, weighed down by IT and financial stocks.

The 30-share BSE benchmark Sensex surged by 1,436 points, or 1.83%, closing at 79,943. The broader NSE Nifty gained 446 points, up 1.88%, ending at 24,188. Now, during the day, we saw the Sensex climb over 1,500 points, while the Nifty50 advanced beyond 450 points, reclaiming that crucial 24,200 mark.

Sensex fell 109 points (-0.14%) to 78,139.01, while Nifty ended flat at 23,644.80, achieving 8% annual gains for the ninth consecutive year. Persistent foreign fund outflows and selling in IT and financial stocks weighed on indices.

The markets faced significant pressure today, with the Sensex closing down by 451 points, settling at 78,248 This marks a 0.74% decline, which is quite notable.

On Friday, Indian benchmark indices had a volatile session, but despite some ups and downs, they managed to close slightly higher. The S&P BSE Sensex settled at 78,699, marking an increase of 226.6 points, which is a rise of 0.29%. The broader Nifty 50 index followed suit, closing at 23,813.40, up by 63.20 points or 0.27%.

The Indian equity markets wrapped up a muted trading session with benchmark indices closing near flat levels. The S&P BSE Sensex declined marginally by 0.39 points, settling at 78,472.48. Meanwhile, the Nifty managed to eke out a slight gain, ending at 23,750.20, up 22.55 points or 0.1%.

The IT sector declined by 0.4%, with Infosys dropping 1.1%, making it the biggest drag on the Nifty 50. Financial indices also saw losses.
