A weekly Doctor Who podcast bringing you news, reviews and commentaries with your hosts Garry and Adam.
Hey, Who fans and welcome to Episode 414.
Matt Steele, from our writing team, joins me this week as we celebrate the recent birthday of former Doctor Matt Smith, reflecting on his enduring impact on the franchise and the unique connection fans have with the show.
There's not much news knocking about but Ncuti's comment (now edited out on The Graham Norton Show) regarding the potential for a third season of Doctor Who, stirring up speculation and excitement within the fandom, still lingers. With the BBC and Disney remaining tight-lipped about the show's future, we explore the implications of this uncertainty and what it could mean for the beloved series.
We finish with Matt's journey into Doctor Who, sharing his favourite stories and the moments that hooked him in with a final thought on the show's future trajectory and whether it might benefit from a brief hiatus to reset and rejuvenate.

Hey, Who fans and welcome to Episode 413.
I'm joined by a special co-host this week - Maria from the writing team! This week, we take a look at the buzz surrounding Ncuti Gatwa's comments about a potential third season of Doctor Who, which sparked controversy among fans along with the implications of Gatwa's remarks, examining how they were edited during a recent appearance on the Graham Norton Show and the BBC's subsequent response.
In other news, the spin-off series "The War Between the Land and the Sea" is set to finish filming by Christmas and Peter Capaldi feels like being The Doctor is way more fun than being himself.
We close out the episode with Maria sharing her personal journey as a Doctor Who fan, reflecting on her early experiences with the classic series and her admiration for Peter Capaldi's portrayal of the Doctor.

Hey, Who fans and welcome to Episode 412.
This week Garry is joined by special co-host Harry Walker, one of the Big Blue Box writing team, who you would have heard on the monthly Round Table episodes.
First up, the news: Carole Ann Ford hopes to return as Susan, the new Fifteenth Doctor and Ruby Sunday figures are arriving soon, Tom Baker and Louise Jameson reunite for two stories from Big Finish, and a breakdown of an interview with Russell T Davies on some of the big questions about the show's future.
We then explore Harry's history, early memories of the show, and thoughts on the future.

Hey, Who fans and welcome to the [Month] Round Table!
It's nearly a full house for the September Round Table, Who fans! This time, Garry is joined by Jordan, Maria, Harry and Matt for their review of the recent live performance of The Stuff of Legend starring Paul McGann from Big Finish.
After that we wind down with some chat about the recently announced spin-off The War Between the Land and the Sea and what spin-off we'd love to see given the choice.
Enjoy!

Hey, Who fans and welcome to Episode 411.
This week, after a quick chat on the recent Dragonfire screening at Riverside Studios, we're diving into the still-lost story, now animated, The Power of the Daleks for our review. This is an important story as it's the very first televised regeneration and Patrick Troughton's first performance as The Doctor. Often regarded as a pure classic, what do we think of this Dalek story?
Lastly, listener, Adam is back in the U.S. from next week so we'll let you know what's happening with the next episode and story. There won't be an episode next week but we'll be back the week after in some shape or form plus the monthly Round Table episode drops that week, too.

Hey, Who fans and welcome to Episode 409.
After a brief chat about the new Blake's 7 Series 1 Blu-ray collection, we dive into the news: a high-ranking Disney executive has shared some very positive remarks about Season 1 of Doctor Who and Catherine Tate is set to host the Doctor Who BBC Proms next week. For our review this week, it's something we haven’t discussed in years—K9 and Company: A Girl’s Best Friend. Enjoy!

Hey, Who fans and welcome to the [Month] Round Table!
It's a busy one this month, Who fans, as Garry is joined by Jordan, Harry, Maria and Matt to talk about which companions (and a few Doctors!) either overstayed their welcome or should have stuck around for longer. You will not believe some of the answers! Oh, and Harry gets an issue off of his chest regarding that Sutekh thing. It's all here and more in this month's Round Table, enjoy.

Hey, Who fans and welcome to Episode 408.
This week, after our usual catch-up, we're looking at a story infamous for its incomplete content, various reconstructions, versions and remasters. It's time to review our last Tom Baker story: Shada.

Hey, Who fans and welcome to Episode 407.
This week's big news comes fresh from the announcement at San Diego Comic Con last week that we're getting a Doctor Who spin-off - The War Between the Land and the Sea. Headed up by a couple of previous familiar (but not the same) faces and U.N.I.T. this starts filming this month and should land next year.
After the news, we're onto our review of the classic Second Doctor story - The Abominable Snowmen. Mostly animated, are these first appearances of the Yeti and The Great Intelligence culminate in a great story or were we left out in the cold?

Hey, Who fans and welcome to Episode 406.
This week we have a natter on the BBC's annual report and how they feel the latest season of Doctor Who has performed then it's onto our review of The Chase which also happens to be our last ever surviving full live-action review (it's all reconstructions and animated stuff after this). This one is a slightly bonkers story, but does it bring us the best of the Hartnell era? Oh and also, tissues at ready as we say farewell to Barbara and Ian in their final appearances as companions.
