Charleston-based comedy podcast taking a ridiculous look at the food and beverage community. Tackling the issues that don't matter at all.
I have the amazing honor of interviewing two very talented artists (who also happen to be my friends): Isabel Bornstein and Laura Lee Robinson. Their exhibition âThe Snippy Showâ opened last week at Hed Hi Studios in Charleston SC and we talk about the process, the concept, and the making of the work.

Whoâs ready for Thanksgiving? I share my thanksgiving plans and a sneak peak at my newly finished novel. (Also, I miss you. More shows soon. )
This was originally recorded in 2019 at my Grandfatherâs home in Goose Creek. I sit down to interview William Dale Ribbeck aka âPapa Daleâ and we discuss his big life as a sailor in the United States Navy. He retired as a distinguished Master Diver and his impact on my life is immeasurable. He passed away peacefully in his sleep last night and I am sharing this episode again as a comfort to myself and the many many many people who loved him. When I moved to New York in my early twenties he left me with this advice and I think we can all use it.
âKeep your nose clean ands donât take no wooden nickels.â

I make a startling realization about Tony Bourdain and Santeria while rewatching âNo Reservationsâ.
My guest today is the hilarious Landon Bryant, known for is Instagram account @landontalks where he breaks down customs, sayings, foods and feelings unique to the South. Itâs been a long timeâŠ
I say âFrozen Iceâ a lot in this episode but what I meant to say is âshaved iceâ either wayâŠdonât do it.
I come back from a short hiatus to chat with my childhood friend The Cornbread Cowboi. Though the internet knows him as the southern swaggy Duke of Drip (and hilarious meme king) I grew up with Orry Lee Kennedy in a small town in South Carolina called Williston. When we were growing up the population was 3243, today itâs down to down to just 2843. We talk about how he went from slicing brisket in a BBQ restaurant in Tampa to having over 600k followers on IG and being a full time performer with an epic closet of vintage american iconography. Heâs hilarious and genuine and it was a real treat to sit down with him after all these years. Love you, O-Eazy.

This episode was recorded in front of a LIVE studio audience during âEffinâ Breakfastâ at the Counter Culture Training Center in downtown Charleston on 3/9/24.
My guest today is the wildly charming and incredibly talented Hannah Marie Welton of Weltonâs Tiny Bakeshop, Charlestonâs darling jewel of a bakery that has us all wrapped around its tiny little finger. Hannah candidly shares how she and her husband Zachary created their iconic âHoney Pieâ while cooking in the jungles of Tulum and dives into their origin story in the kitchen at Sean Brockâs: Husk. Itâs no secret that I adore them and their entire team and I hope you enjoy this conversation and one day have a chance to try their exquisite baked goods for yourself. A special thanks to Counter Culture for sponsoring this epic event and to every single person who braved an actual flood to be apart of this unforgettable day. ILSYM. Youâre the effinâ best.
