EP. 006 When Your White Privileged Bubble Bursts with Thaís Sky

This episode was recorded in early September of 2017. It was shortly after the rally and protests in Charlottesville happened. I lived in Virginia Beach from the age of 11 to 21, so these events woke me up in a big way. I have no excuse for my ignorance up until then. White supremacy and racism are not new, my whiteness simply afforded me the privilege of benefiting from it. Therefore, it allowed me to not have to address it.

The culture of whiteness normalizes the dehumanization of Black and Indigenous People of Color (BIPOC) and keeps us from dropping into the depths of our humanity. The work of dismantling our own internal oppressor is painful and it is required. As a white woman (WW) who is in the spiritual realm of the coaching industry, I recognized that all the internal work I have dedicated myself to has more than prepared me to wake up to my whiteness. So to not do it would be a blatant act of upholding white supremacy. That is something I am simply unwilling to do. I am strong enough to do this work and so are you. This is the real work. This is the true call. Humanity is literally dependant on us dismantling systems of oppression.

EP. 005 Expanding Our Perception of Beauty with Joshua Smith

Do you find yourself mistaking glamour for beauty? Or getting caught up in the surface-level prettiness but not dropping into the depths of what true beauty is?

I have come to a deeper understanding of what beauty and in this conversation with my amazing friend, Josh, we dig into what it really means to live beautifully.

I hope you enjoy it as much as I did and I would love to hear more about your thoughts on beauty. Most of my conversations happen over on Instagram or in my private Facebook group.

EP. 004 Unleash the Patriarchal Power Within: Two Females Experience at a Tony Robbins Event

In March/April of 2017, I attended a Tony Robbins event called Unleash the Power Within (UPW) with a large group of friends and acquaintances. This podcast recording was recorded about six months after attending in August of 2017.

My very good friend, Juliet Maris and I share the major lessons we both learned from the event. We also talk about the intense anger we felt about the overwhelming patriarchal dominance of power at the event and why it was so problematic having one very particular style of female energy at the event.

Both of our opinions and feelings continue to unfold regarding this personal development tycoon especially after the disgusting behavior he displayed at his UPW event this year (2018), where he outright bullied a woman who was calling him out on his responsibility as a male leader with a large platform in the #metoo movement.

EP. 003 - How to Own When You F*ck Up with Thaís Sky

In this weeks podcast, Thais and I share the story of what happened a year after she pitched me on her $20k coaching package after just starting to get to know me. It was a tremendous learning experience for both of us. One that we are both very grateful for having.

Nearly a year after the "pitch" happened, Thais took a vulnerable risk by reaching out to make a repair and fully owning the fact that she fucked up. This conversation showcases the possibility that bud from radical honesty, openness, and humility.

May we all stretch into holding the complexity of our human experience. And remember...
    ...it's okay to be human.
    ...it's okay to fuck up.
...it's vital to own your part.

Attachment Theory: I spoke about a book called, Attached, which I read years ago. Since recording this episode, I have learned much more about attachment theory and the one thing I don't love about this book is the fact it doesn't cover disorganized attachment which is very important.

Anyone want to help Thaís finish her joke...

What's going to happen to spiritual women when they realize they can no longer blame fear, limiting beliefs, and mercury in retrograde for all their problems?

EP. 002 - Reaping the Rewards of Deep Friendship with Juliet Maris

Please note that this episode was recorded in July 2017 and we mention attending an event a few months prior which we talk all about in Episode 004 (not 3).

Juliet Maris and I talk about the beauty of holding space, crossing the bridge from client to friend, and the power of grounded sisterhood. We open up about times we’ve had to let go of friendships and how important it is to mourn that loss.

EP. 001 - A little about Lindsey Rae with special thanks to Thaís Sky

My friend, Thaís Sky, so graciously helped me in this episode by chatting with me, about me - LOL! I share how I discovered and ultimately overcame pretty severe OCD in my late teens and early 20s, why I'm so committed to my healing journey through spiritual and therapeutic work, what beauty really means, and a whole lot of other things. Hopefully, this episode lays a bit of a foundation for this podcast and gives you all a little glimpse into who I am.
