Join hosts Jonah Gregory and Kieran Bennett as they do deep dives on comics and graphic novels in a book club style format.
New Years Even of 2016, New York City, Times Square… sure it sounds great on paper, but not when a maniac shows up and starts slashing people up! Four years and many murders later, two NYPD officers heading up the Maniac Taskforce are on the case. Faced with budget cuts, the mayor's obsession with his new automated train, and general apathy, they try to prevent further destruction in a world that has mostly moved on.
Join hosts Jonah Gregory and Kieran Bennett while they take a deep dive into Maniac of New York volume 1: The Death Train!

Parenting is tough even in the best of times. When the cyberpunk distopia you've been escaping for the last thirteen years suddenly shows up on your door, you might start to wonder how far you'll go to protect your kids. It's a tale as old as time as we review Dryad on this episode of Inks & Issues.
Full discosure, Justin Osterling is a friend of the show and a Geekly. We decided to review this comic a while back and he did not know we were doing it.

In this episode we dip our feet into the wackier side of the Marvel Universe, when it gets beat up by The Unbeatable Squirrel Girl! Tony Stark (Iron Man) has found a strange device and wants Doreen and her friends to help him test it out. Things go badly when a group of animal-people show up to steal it back, leading to Doreen being accidentally shoved inside. Shenanigans, of course, ensue.

This week we are joined by our good pal and popular podcaster Tim Lanning of The Pope Zone! (I think he does another show about dragons or something). He has joined us to discuss the original 2003 version of The Runaways.
Runaways asks the question, “What if you found out your parents were super villains and you were too much of a rebellious teen to be ok with that?”
Thank you to all of our wonderful Patreon supporters for helping keep the podcast going over such a rough year. You are the real MVPs.

Things start to get serious for Kuroe Akaishi, a young girl who turns into a giant Kaiju when she gets too emotional, when the school hearthrob / Insta star Arata Minami takes her on a *gulp* DATE?!
We are joined once again by Steph from Welcome to St. Paxton to discuss this weird, yet adorable manga.

This week we are joined by Steph from “Welcome to St. Paxton”, a very good podcast about Cthulhu and the investigators who love them.
Speaking of giant monsters, this episode we discuss Kaiju Girl Caramelise. It's the story of a young girl who turns into a giant, city-crushing monster when she gets too emotional. Now she's fallen for the new boy at school and things get a lot more complicated.

This week we are joined by Nika Howard of the “Greetings, Adventurers!” podcast (among many other fun projects) to discuss the spookiest of spooky comics, The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina.
But this ain't your great-great-granfather's Sabrina: The Teenage Witch. No, this Sabrina has some adventures. Chilling ones, even. Also there is a lot of blood and and the actual devil shows up at one point?
If you ever wondered what would happen if you combined Archie comics with the devil movie craze of the 60's and 70's you'd be on the right track. Enjoy!

Did you know Kieran has never read a Fantastic 4 from start to finish? Well we aimed to change that this week with Fantastic 4: 1234.
Is it a great intro to the greatest family ever written? Or just a grim-dark romp through New York where Ben gets hit by a car?
Only one way to find out!

Thanks to people on our discord randomly posting weird comic panels, we decided to review our first Elseworld's book. We didn't realize this was a sequel to another Elseworld story, but that didn't slow us down.
We needed to know why Superman both looked like Santa and was weilding a semi-truck engine/gun. The answers may surprise you.

Things are really heating up in The City Enduring, and not just with the whole ‘murder' thing. Is Jo up to the task? Of course she is, she's amazing.
