Kevin Robling is the Department Secretary of South Dakota Game Fish & Parks. And thanks to Kevin and his team across the state, they will continue to have the BEST hunting, fishing and camping reputation in the entire country.  We talk about why South Dakota is the number one non-resident bird hunting state and how they are planning for the next hundred years. Oh yeah, and we talk about his dogs and mine.

I am so glad I ran into these guys a couple of years ago. Alberto and Adrian got their start in an unconventional way. Their journey is one that is family based. Family founded and dog centric. Desire and cooperation traits are not canine specific. They are human specific!!

Doctor Jay came on the podcast to talk all things hunting dog. he has developed an Online support system for the  hunting dog community that gives you assistance with veterinary education, resources, and teleducation. Jay is a lifelong bird hunter that is there to support you when you need advise, knowledge or a second opinion.

Stopping off on my way home from the annual South Dakota trip, I hit some spots with a great group of locals, who welcomed me with open fields, open doors and opened beers. For those of you who say it's all about the dogs.... well, for me it's all about the friends!

On my way home from SD I stopped into the Boss headquarters. While my dog Vee ran from office to office, I brought the recorder into Brandon Cerecke's office and went on a deep dive on all things BOSS from their legecy brand to the new Warchief and a couple others you may not have heard about. It's easy to see why this company has taken over the marshes and the prairies  by storm ( no pun intended ;) 

Our annual trip to White Lake Hunting Lodge was a blast! Seeing old friends, making new friends and sharing the field with our dogs and the state bird of South Dakota.
