In The Lyme Light

In The Lymelight

Welcome to In The Lyme Light: a show about...well...Lyme Disease. In the Lyme Light aims to bring humor and knowledge to an otherwise somber topic with biweekly expert interviews that include, yes, the "heavy" stuff, but also everything in between that is meant to make your day a little bit brighter. Hosted by fellow Lymie and alpaca lover Alex Moresco and self certified iced coffee connoisseur Sarah Aiken in collaboration with Global Lyme Alliance: we hope you enjoy listening in as much as we enjoy talking.

Not Choosing Fear in Chronic Illness
Today we deep dive into a topic often avoided: fear. As I deal with my own chronic health issues and often feel like one pops up as soon as another is under control, I discuss challenging myself to view healing barriers as an opportunity to heal and get stronger. I discuss the 3 step method to reframing negative thoughts in “Super Attractor” and how fear goes hand in hand with chronic illness. Top Treatments That Have Helped me- Peeling the Onion
One of the most frequently asked questions I get on Instagram related to treatment is “what has helped you the most?” I am always very hesitant to answer, because all cases of tick-borne disease and chronic illness are unique to that person. Today, I compiled the top seven treatments that I feel have given me the greatest improvement in my health. I share my personal experience, as well as the scientific background of each therapy. I discuss: IV Rocephin, Ozone therapy, peptide injections, Amino Acid IVs, CBD Oil, Saline IVs and Binders. Welcome to In The Lyme Light: a show about...well...Lyme Disease. In the Lyme Light aims to bring humor and knowledge to an otherwise somber topic and, yes, the "heavy" stuff is included, but also everything in between that is meant to make your day a little bit brighter. Hosted by fellow Lymie Ali Moresco: I hope you enjoy listening in as much as I enjoy talking. As many of you know, battling chronic illness is just as difficult mentally as physically. Today, I chat about finding energy healing, manifesting and intention setting and how it has shifted my mindset. As I have started to have time spans of feeling better, I have noticed that my mindset has a large impact on how I physically feel. As I find my groove while dipping my toes back into putting out consistent episodes of In The Lymelight without a co-host or guests, I appreciate your patience and would love any topic suggestions you may have! Emergency Mini Episode: New York Times Article/My Private Info being Shared Publicly Online
In our 4 1/2 episode of season two of In The Lymelight, from Bali, I felt like I needed to share some information on the New York Times article Apoorva Mandavilli wrote "My Son Got Lyme Disease. He’s Totally Fine” which I will not link here. I also wanted to share my disappointment in fellow Lyme disease patients that do not agree with my support of the MI Lyme legislation sharing my private information online after they emailed me pretending to ask for the letter of support I created. I will do another full episode on this with Chris, but wanted to share my feelings now. If you want to make a difference, please donate to my upcoming Global Lyme Alliance benefit, the SubLyme Soiree, in the name of the New York Times or Apoorva Mandavilli. We will not let this illness defeat us.
