This is part 1 of a two part show.Peter Kalmus is a NASA scientist ans climate activist who has achieved amazing things in the climate space in a short space of time.Not only is he an American climate scientist, astrophysicist, writer, and climate activist he has co authored the award winning book, "Being the Change: Live Well and Spark a Climate Revolution", founded the website noflyclimatesci.org and co-founded the app Earth Hero: Climate Change. As well he has started the ClimateAd project to raise awareness about climate change.

 Prof. Ron Milo earned a BSc in Physics and Mathematics at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and a PhD in Biological Physics at the Weizmann Institute of Science. Ron and his lab members bring the tools of systems biology to bear on the challenges of sustainability. His research aims to understand the cellular highways of energy and carbon transformations known as central carbon metabolism in quantitative terms. His research team employs a combination of computational and experimental synthetic biology tools with a focus on carbon fixation. He aims to understand the fundamentals of its design principles with the goal of improving the ability of humanity to produce food and fuel more efficiently.  In 2018, the Weizmann Institute was ranked ninth in the world in terms of research quality according to the prestigious CWTS Leiden Ranking.  This is the second time in the last five years that it has been ranked in the top 10 research institutes in the world.

 Assaad Razzouk talks about renewable energy opportunities in Asia. The opportunities and challenges are very different from country to country in this region.Assaad heads two companies which are based in Singapore, Reneum and Sindicatum Renewable Energy.Sindicatum is a developer, owner and operator of clean energy projects in key markets that are perennially short of electricity, particularly in non-urbanized areas.Reneum is striving to incentivize green growth and bring clean energy to markets everywhere by providing renewable energy developers with reliable revenue streams.
