    Spain wins historic 4th Euro Championship, Messi & Argentina go BACK-to-BACK-to-BACK

    Alexi Lalas and David Mosse recap both the Euro 2024 Finals and the Copa América 2024 Finals, ending in dramatic fashion. Spain was undoubtedly the best team of the Euro tournament, finishing on top with a 2-1 victory. The champions lifted the trophy behind goals from Nico Williams and Mikel Oyarzabal, and became the first team to win four Euro Championships. On the Copa América side, Lionel Messi and Ángel Di María were able to complete the story booking ending on an extra time Lautaro Martínez goal.  Argentina wins their third straight major tournament and 16th Copa América, but not without a hectic start and an 82 minute delay.     Heartbreaking loss for Jesse Marsch & Canada, Euro 2024 & Copa América 2024 Finals preview

    Alexi Lalas and David Mosse broke down Canada’s heartbreaking loss as they fell to Uruguay in penalties. Looking for a signature win under Jesse Marsch, Ismaël Koné and Jonathan David had put Canada ahead 2-1 at the end of regulation. But a stoppage time equalizer by Luis Suárez and an Alphonso Davies missed PK, sent Uruguay home with the third place win. Both the Euro 2024 and the Copa América 2024 come to a close on Sunday when the finals kick off. Spain and England will face off first, followed by Argentina and Colombia, to see who will be lifting the trophies. (3:02)

    Gregg Berhalter fired, Colombia & England advance, Melissa Ortiz joins the Pod

    Alexi Lalas, David Mosse, and special guest Melissa Ortiz react to the breaking news, Gregg Berhalter is fired as USMNT head coach. This decision was announced by Matt Crocker and the U.S. Soccer Federation following the USMNT group stage exit from the Copa América 2024. Next steps for the team will include selecting a new head coach immediately. As the Copa América 2024 continued on today, Uruguay and Colombia faced off in the semifinals. The Colombians advanced to the finals with their 1-0 victory and continued their unbeaten streak of 28 matches. England also clinched their spot in the Euro 2024 finals behind Ollie Watkins' 90th minute goal. The Three Lions will take on Spain in just their second ever Euro finals appearance. (5:28)

    Alexi Lalas and David Mosse react to Lamine Yamal making history as he became the youngest goalscorer ever at the Euros. The previous Euro record was held by Pelé, who was 17 years-old and 239 days. Spain advances to the finals for their 5th appearance all-time. Lionel Messi and Argentina also clinched their spot in the Copa América finals as they defeated Canada 2-0. Messi delivered the victory with his first goal of the tournament. The guys also discussed the U.S. Men’s Soccer Olympic Roster that was released, including Walker Zimmerman and Miles Robinson who headline the team for Paris. (4:06)

England advanced behind standout performances from Bukayo Saka and Jordan Pickford, and the Netherlands rallied with two second half goals to beat Türkiye 2-1. James Rodríguez led the way for Colombia as they continued their 27-match unbeaten streak. With 3 goal contributions on the night, Rodríguez helped Colombia advance to their 3rd semifinals in the last five years. They will face Uruguay in the semifinals, who also advanced past Brazil. 17-year old Endrick recorded his first international start with Vinicius Junior out, but Marcelo Bielsa’s squad was able to finish on top in the penalty shootout.     Alexi Lalas and David Mosse broke down all the quarterfinal action today starting with the blockbuster matchup of Spain and Germany. To put Spain ahead 1-0, Lamine Yamal recorded the assist to Dani Olmo and became the first teenager to record three assists in a single Euro tournament. Mikel Merino sent the host team home with his header late in extra time. In the semifinals, Spain is set to face France who advanced past Cristiano Ronaldo and Portugal on penalties. On the Copa América side, Venezuela and Canada’s quarterfinal match came down to another penalty shootout. The Maple Leaves and American Head Coach Jesse Marsch, booked their ticket to the semifinals in their debut appearance. (1:57)

On the Copa América side, Brazil and Colombia faced off to decide who would top the group. The two teams split the points, and both advanced to the quarterfinals.     Bellingham & Kane escape defeat, Spain dominates behind Nico Williams, Mexico crashes out

    Alexi Lalas and David Mosse recap the thrilling comebacks in the Euros Round of 16, as well as Mexico and Jamaica’s elimination from Copa América Group B. England escaped an early knockout round exit, with a Jude Bellingham bicycle late in second half stoppage time. Slovakia led 1-0 for most of the match, but after leveling the score Harry Kane’s header claimed the Three Lions victory. Spain also came back from being down 1-0, scoring 4 unanswered goals to advance. Mexico failed to make it out of the group for the third time in their last four Copa América appearances.  A win on the night would have clinched their spot in the quarterfinals. (3:03)

Germany and Switzerland both advanced, while the Euros defending champions Italy were eliminated. Jamal Musiala becomes Germany’s youngest goal scorer in the Euros knockout stage, with his third goal of the tournament. In Copa América Group A, Argentina booked their ticket to the knockout round, defeating Peru 2-0 without Messi.
