After this weekend’s NFL action, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are back to controlling their own destiny after their win and the Atlanta Falcons’ loss to the Washington Commanders. Win Sunday against the always-tough New Orleans Saints, and they will host a first-round playoff game. And as we’ve seen in recent years, it’s not always the top team that advances to a Super Bowl. Considering the Bucs have already defeated three of the current NFC playoff teams, their chances are just as good as any other team, should things go their way this Sunday.

The brilliance that we saw in Tampa Bay’s game against the Chargers last week was not to be found in Dallas. Sure there were some moments, but not enough to fight off a resilient Cowboys’ team that has shown it can compete with top teams – even with a backup QB. The Bucs currently do not control their own destiny in their push for the playoffs, and they must win their last two games (the ascending Panthers and the always-tough Saints) in order to have a chance.
