    Linden Hall pops by to chat about her win in the 3000m at Zatopek:10 and where it fits into her season ahead, as well as her experience at the Paris Olympics as she tried to deal with an ambush injury and progressing against the repechage system and the current state of 1500m runners in Australia.

    Jack Rayner took out Zatopek:10 in his fourth title of the National 10000m Championships, winning in 28:26.12, ahead of Sam Clifford and Oliver Chignell of New Zealand, with Brett Robinson third Australian.
    Rose Davies outkicked Lauren Ryan at the end of a constantly changing race to win her third title in 32:21.71, with Leanne Pompeani in third place.
    Cameron Myers broke his own U20 national record to take out the open 3000m in 7:41.11 over Jude Thomas and Jack Anstey, while Linden Hall powered away from Abbey Caldwell to win the open 3000m in 8:43.02 with Amy Robinson in third.

    Georgia Griffith took out the road mile at The Spectacle in Nelson, New Zealand with a time of 4:35 ahead of Sarah Billings and Sophie O’Sullivan. Neil Gourley of Scotland won the Men’s road mile in 4:03 ahead of Sam Tanner and Brian Fay, with Stewy McSweyn fifth in 4:06.

    Jakob Ingebrigsten took out his third European Cross Country title in Antalya, Turkiye ahead of Yemanebehran Crippa of Italy, with Spain winning the Men’s Team title.
    Nadia Battocletti of Italy won the Women’s Title ahead of Konstanze Klosterhalfen of Germany, with Italy also winning the Women’s Team Title.

    Amy Bunnage Boston Indoor 15:00.75, an Australian Short Track Record at the Sharon Colyear-Danville meet at Boston University.

    Adam Spencer ran 7:40.38 in the 3000m, while Alex Stitt ran the mile in 3:56.03.

    Andy Buchanan set a new National Record, running 2:06:22 at the Valencia Marathon, placing 16th overall. Izzi Batt-Doyle ran 2:22:59 for third all time, 8th in the race. Both qualify for next year’s Athletics World Championship in Tokyo.

    Izzi joins in early to chat about going for the Australian record and recaps her race, the pace planning involved and giving the race as an emotional tribute to her friend Bailey.

    Sebastian Sawe in his marathon debut won in a world leading time of 2:02:05, the 5th fastest of all time and second fastest debut ahead of the 5th-placed Olympian Deresa Galeta of Ethiopia and Daniel Mateko of Kenya.
    Megertu Alemu of Ethiopia won in 2:16:49, ahead of Stella Chesang setting the national record for Uganda and Tiruye Mesfin of Ethiopia.

    Victorian 5000m State Championships Matt Buckell 13:49.46 Haftu Strintzos and Dale Carroll. Amy Robinson won the state title in 16:10.77 ahead of Sarah Klein and Georgia Hansen.

    Yuya Yoshida won the Fukuoka International Marathon in 2:05:16 in Japan, with Michael Marantelli was the best Australian in 2:21:02. Jack Rayner paced half way through to 62:57.

    Sifan Hassan was awarded overall Women’s World Athlete of the Year, as well as best Out of Stadium athlete. Tamirat Tola was awarded best Out of Stadia Athlete for 2024.

    She was 9th place at the 2023 World Champs and the Winner of the 2022 GC Marathon. She joins him fresh off her 2.23 at Chicago for 9th overall and 2nd American.

    Ed Goddard placed third in the Ageo City Half Marathon in Japan for a 62:01 personal best. The race was won by 19 year old Kazura Manukata in 1:01:38, breaking the U20 National Half Marathon record by three seconds.
