    Episode 179 - Randy Schmutz

    For the week of September 18th, 2024, Episode 21 of Season No. 7, Ted Stovin and Dustin Edwards connect in person with an announcer in the PRCA since 1988, now a gold card member. He was selected as the Wrangler NFR alternate announcer in 1995. He was selected to work the Ram National Circuit Finals Rodeo on four separate occasions and worked four different PRCA Circuit Finals for a total of 18 appearances. Heā€™s announced the College National Finals Rodeo eight times, the National High School Rodeo finals twice, the Indian National Finals Rodeo twice, but the majority of his career was spent over 14 years from 1994 to 2008 with the Professional Bull Riders. He was selected to work the PBR World Finals eight times and spent 15 years as the ABBI World Finals announcer, also working RFD-TVā€™s The American for nine years from 2014 to 2022. Having worked over 100 different PRCA Rodeos in 30 different states and 80 different PBR Events in 25 different states as well as Canada, he and his wife Amber now own and operate Silver Creek Rodeo Company.     For the week of July 24th, 2024, Episode 17 of Season No. 7, presented by the CCMA's, the Canadian Country Music Awards September 14th in Edmonton's Roger's Place, Ted Stovin and Dustin Edwards chat with Jackie Rae Greening Ā a past Chair of the Canadian Country Music Association (CCMA) and a member of the Board of Directors from 2004-2010, Greening has won four CCMA Awards and is also an Alberta Country Music Hall of Fame inductee. Greening is also a decorated Curler. Ā She has been a leader in her field and has played major roles and has volunteered in Provincial, National, and World Championships from the 2005 Time Hortons Brier, 2007 Ford Worlds Menā€™s Curling Championships, 2009 Tim Hortons Roar of the Rings and the 2017 Alberta Provincial Ladies Scotties Tournament of Hearts. Locally in the Edmonton area, she has been the Chairperson for many events; Country Music Week, The Ford World Curling Championships, The Olympic Curling Trials and the Alberta Womenā€™s Curling Championship. Ā She is also Past Chair of the CapitalCare Foundation and currently sits on the Board of the Hec Gervais Scholarship Foundation and The Steadward Centre 40th Anniversary Celebration. This exceptional level of community involvement earned her the 2007 Global Woman of Vision Award and she's also an inductee of the Alberta Sports Hall of Fame. Past guest of the show Brett Kissel also used to live in her basement. We welcome Jackie Rae Greening to the show!
