In my latest podcast, she and I discuss the importance of understanding where our body image originates and the importance of balancing feminine and masculine qualities, within ourselves and within our culture.

  • A Healing Journey with Meryl Picard

Meryl Picard is an inspiration to me and so many people. Hear her share about her journey of taking responsibility and control of her health, mind & body. Sheā€™s breaking traditions in her family and is a living example for reversing the disease that plagues many in our country, especially on reservations. Obesity and Type 2 diabetes are reversible - and itā€™s not that hard! In Merylā€™s words, ā€œPick your hard.ā€ Would you rather deal with the difficulty of a disease, or deal with the difficulty of taking a walk outdoors, enjoying vibrant foods and having lots of energy to do things you love? As she puts it, most mothers say, ā€œI would die for my children!ā€™Ā  But she doesnā€™t want to die for her children; she wants to live for them!Ā

  • Happy Farming with Lauren Glikin of Raw Roots Farm

Farm fresh food is one foundation of good health. Good farming creates an even greater foundation ā€¦ and GREAT farming is what Lauren and Andrew Glikin do at Raw Roots farm in Mariposa CA.Ā

Lauren joins me to explain how they practice a farming system that supports biodiversity. They farm without tilling andĀ  invite many species of critters to naturally enrich the soil which enhances the quality of their crops. The value they place onĀ  agroecology is why they grow superb produce! Communities in the foothills of the Sierra are healthier because of their hard work and year round dedication.Ā

For myriad reasons, many people in the world donā€™t have access to farm fresh foods: geographically, seasonally, financially, culturally, or even a basic lack of culinary desire. I understand. I have been in each of those categories at one time or another. Not to worry, thereā€™s other ways to improve your overall health.Ā

  • Water is Life

I am so passionate about teaching the value of water because without it, we die! Literally! Proper hydration is key for the health of every system and organ in the body. Itā€™s crucial for our immune system, nervous system, lymphatic system, digestive system, joints, bones and tissues, mental health, to name a few! Itā€™s even a valuable component of our spiritual wellbeing.

  • Enlightenment 9.0

I think itā€™s time to revisit the Age of Enlightenment. I believe weā€™ve had enough pain by now and we might just be at the right place in time for some wisdom of the 1600ā€™s to come back around. Iā€™m pretty sure we learned enough about humanity over the past 500 years to make some lasting positive societal improvements once and for all. Letā€™s call it Modern Day Enlightenment, where we factor in the past 500 years of gathered intelligence. Taking a quick gander at the historic timeline over the past 500 years can really highlight what has worked, what hasnā€™t worked and how we can finally navigate the terrain of sustaining unity as a humanity.

  • This Little Light of Mine

I havenā€™t recorded a podcast episode in like a month or so. If you listened to my LAST episode, then you know what I had been going through in the recent past. Since recording ā€˜Sorry, not Sorry,ā€™ I havenā€™t been inspired to say very much. In fact, I havenā€™t said much at all since then; publicly or privately. I havenā€™t returned phone calls or messages from caring individuals, I hadnā€™t posted very much on social media, although I had reached out a little bit to some of my more spiritual friends.

There are times in life when itā€™s important to speak out or to vent, and other times when ya just gotta be quiet; be still; be introspective and meditative...there are times when itā€™s better to remove yourself from the chaos of the outside world and to acknowledge the chaos of your inside world.

  • Step Forward Step Back

I have been consistently progressing very well since I began this conscious journey of personal growth decades ago. In the past Iā€™d have said that progress was a steady, consistent journey toward perfection. But as life continually demonstrates, thereā€™s BOTH forward AND Backward momentum.
