E425 - Healthy Living Starts Here - The Living Strong Series
The SSS crew is back! Rob, Blake, and Jake welcome back coach Nate to finish up some unfinished business. First, the crew begins by wishing Blake a short-term farewell to teach those Brits some real American football! Then they dig into more coaching tactics in working with young athletes to try and get the most out of them, and help them understand the process of long-term athletic development. How do you create a “legacy” program where winning isn’t just talked about, but becomes expected by everyone in the program? How do we get there, what is the process, what is the mindset, how is it achieved? What can we do as coaches to create a mindset where the young athlete is always looking for the next challenge, how does it come from within? Listen in as the coaches tackle these questions and more in this episode. Enjoy!

E420 - Age is Not Your Enemy - The Living Strong Series
Rob, Blake, and Jake are back to talk shop, everything fitness. Today begins with talk of a crazy challenge Jake thought up. Rob's first thought was that it was just dumb, because let’s face it, there are some dumb workouts out there. Anyway, this workout kicked Jake’s butt, in fact, he quit not even a quarter of the way through. So they talk about how to beat dumb workouts. Then the chat evolves into Blake’s new adventure. It consists of basically bringing American football to Europe on a developmental level and is something very new: A hungry group of young European athletes who want to play American football, brought to them by the guys who have played and can give these young men an opportunity to progress to the American college market. We will keep you posted on this awesome startup. The guys wrap this one up with a little Q & A, a little fitness, and nutrition to close it down. Take a listen! We hope you enjoy!

E419 - Music, Entrepreneurship, and Man-Hating Lyrics - Breakin' It Down
Music is life. Music is biblical. Music is everything. Whether we are driving, working out, getting fired up at halftime, or hanging at a concert, music is a huge part of who we are! Is U2 a good band? Is the new rap any good? Is country music on the radio even country anymore? Is Alex getting a job finally? Will he work in a skateboard shop? Will he become a DJ? Or will he run a booze cruise in Nevada? (Northern Nevada that is.) And what’s up with all of the man-hating in songs? Are we really that bad? We try to answer all of these questions plus many many more! Let’s roll! This episode is brought to you by Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Sour Mash Whiskey, The Provider, American Almond Beef, Napa Valley Olive Oil, Mickey Thompson Tires, RIGID Lights, LEER Toppers, BedSlide, Oakley Sunglasses, The Nashville Palace, and In Your Face Apparel!

You win some, and you lose some. Chad and Alex are bummed over the Niners losing in the Super Bowl and hated it for their friends on the team. Losing is hard but one thing is for sure, you can’t learn from winning, but you sure can learn from failure! The guys will be back and when we say back, we mean back on top in a flash! The losses don’t stop in this episode, and the guys are truly saddened by the passing of an American icon and legend, Toby Keith! Toby battled stomach cancer for over a year and he went out on his terms! This one has been hard to swallow and we won’t be getting over the loss of Toby for a long while! Don’t worry, even with the sad times, we still pull it together to keep the spirits high! We hope you enjoy!
