In this episode, we give you clear cut definitions on what constitutes an endorsement, steps to ensure that social media influencers are in compliance with these FTC guidelines, and how social media platforms are policing their content to ensure branded posts are compliant with the FTC disclosure rules. Lisa and Andy also talk about the lawyers' role in drafting talent and influencer agreements that protect the company and influencers against FTC problems and who has been in trouble with the FTC for failure to disclose, and the ramifications for the company for when their influencers' posts fail to disclose.
