The team open up the Zoom to anyone who wants to join, and does so with resounding success! After getting pranked by one listener, Aaron thought someone was messing with him when he say the name “Rick Schantz” come up requesting entry into the room … and how wrong he was! Coach Schantz joined Aaron and Ashley for about ten minutes discussing his post-match game review strategy among other topics.
After their surprise guest departed, and Ashley was done fangirlling, the hosts got down to business to discuss the deficiencies in the Phoenix Rising gameplay that led to a 0-1 loss in Orange County. How much did Santi Moar’s dismissal affect the second half? How did the substitutes affect the match? What’s next for the great rivalry that is Phoenix Rising vs. Orange County Soccer Club? Aaron and Ashley discuss it all!
Aaron and Ashley also visit with San Antonio FC Fan extraordinaire Harry and find out whats going in Group E.

In this special episode, Jeff Wendt re-joins the show to cover USL’s Phoenix Rising with Kyle Maki for Dominic’s last episode as a co-host of Rising as One before photographer Ashley Orellana takes Dominic’s place.
The guys discuss the importance of Phoenix Rising’s supportive stance on #BlackLivesMatter, including its statement last weekend and club video during the week.
Then they move to the USL’s proposed July 11 return date. They discuss rumors of a potential 16 game regional schedule, and debate whether Phoenix would be better off in a “Pacific Division” or “Southwest Division.” The likelihood of a 2020 US Open Cup is also discussed, with Dominic explaining why he thinks the MLS’ Orlando Cup is a sign there won’t be an Open Cup this season.

Then they preview a much tougher match against Real Monarchs this upcoming Saturday, and wonder if Devin Vega will start against his former club.
The guys then recap the Western Conference results, including Oklahoma City’s home loss to Colorado Springs, and Las Vegas using Junior Burgos’ electric strike to draw San Diego Loyal 1-1.
The episode finishes with mentions of Phoenix Rising joining the US Soccer Developmental Academy system with Steve Cooke directing the academy. And of GK Landon Carter becoming the 3rd Phoenix Rising academy player to earn a professional contract after Brandon Keniston was loaned to FC Arizona, where he started in a 1-0 debut win.

It was excruciatingly painful, but Phoenix Rising avoided the upset after 120 scoreless minutes to edge Austin Bold 8-7 in a nine-round PK shootout.
Dominic and Justin Vibber recap the roller coaster match, which included two post misses for Phoenix and heroics from Zac Lubin.
After they give an in-depth recap, the guys preview next Friday’s match against a scary Real Monarchs team that thrashed OC 6-2. Dominic explains why Monarchs are the biggest threat in the West, and Justin gives a relatively low-scoring score prediction.
Then they recap upset wins for Sacramento and El Paso, shower praise on El Paso for its comeback win in Fresno, and briefly discuss the East. Dominic & Justin disagree on the team they want to play in a potential USL final.
