Splitting her time between Athens, Georgia and Brooklyn, Nicole has written several cookbooks, most recently Watermelon & Red Birds: A Cookbook for Juneteenth and Black Celebrations; she discusses finding and preserving her Southern voice, the pleasures of restaurant research, and her favorite local spots to eat and drink.

Teens interviewed the older adults in lively discussions about ​generational gaps, colonialism, mental health, working from home vs. the office, and even The Beatles!
