Hello, and welcome to the Blocks Paper Scissors Podcast #30.
Today we have a special guest with us. Jean Barnett is an amazing High School TAB teacher in Central Texas. She has been teaching for 17 years, at the same school, with more than 12 of those years as a TAB teacher. She currently is teaching Art 1, Art 3, and runs her school’s ceramics program. When Jean is not teaching her students how to think and behave like artists, she is teaching other art teachers all about TAB as the secondary cohort leader at the TAB Institute."

Hello fellow TAB teachers! We got our act together again to catch up and discuss what's happening in our TAB studios. We also chat about upcoming professional development opportunities that Clyde and I will be participating in later this year. Also, Don't be afraid to send us an email if you have a question or topic you would like us to discuss on an upcoming show.

Podcast Redux! Sorry folks, this episode was supposed to drop last week but I made a huge error while editing. My bad. Anyway, we got back together to talk about a few things that have happened since our last podcast and we discussed WOW, Austins Butterfly, and other TAB missteps.

In this episode Clyde and I try to catch up with each other from TAB Institute to the new year and beyond. We are not in a studio and therefore the sound quality will vary.Â

During this years TABstock, we were blessed to have Kathy Douglas in attendance. I grabbed the opportunity to record, in her words, the genesis of TAB. It is a wonderful story told by one of the founders of TAB: Kathy Douglas.Â
Ha! You thought we were done? Sorry! We have been super-duper busy and I had to hold Mr. Gaw hostage in order to get this podcast recorded. Just Kidding. In this episode Clyde and I are catching up with several random thoughts and I dead in this unscripted podcast.
In this episode, Clyde and Clark talk about the healing power of art. Why do kids seek out the art room when they are anxious? Why do certain behaviors disappear when children have the opportunity to work with their minds and their hands?Â

Special Thanks to The Easthills for allowing us to use their awesome music.
WE are finally back in the studio...sort of. In this episode of Blocks Paper Scissors, Clyde and I try to get back into the groove talking about quality. Teacher directed vs. student directed quality and what is really happening in the minds of our young artists. Special thanks to the Easthils for allowing me to use their awesome music.Â
Welcome to our second live conversation event.Â
In this episode, Clyde and I go live in the first virtual question and answer session. We were joined by several TAB teachers from around the world. This was an amazing conversation among incredible art teachers.
