Ian Fidance's Wild World

Ian Fidance's Wild World

Ian Fidance is an NYC based comedian who has ADD and likes to talk. Wild World is a comedy podcast that interestingly isn't always funny, but funnily enough is always interesting. Will he call an old friend to spin some yarns? Talk to a niche member of the ska music community? Accidentally overshare and ramble? Or will he call his mom Gail to check in? Who knows! Only one way to find out! By listening. That's how you find out.

(Juul) Poddin' in the Car with Andy Haynes
Hey everybody! Hope you're well, as always. My podcasting equipment shat the bed so it's been a min since the last episode. Have no fear! It's fixed and we're in the clear!

Today I recorded with Andy Haynes, a great comic and buddy who is using the recording for his own podcast Miss Me With That. I'm excited! A cross over episode! Woohoo! We recorded in the car on the way back from a gig in Atlantic City and a few times we couldn't see out the windshield because of the rain, but bless Hosanna on High we made it to tell the tale.

See Andy wherever you can, visit his website http://www.imandyhaynes.com
and listen to his podcast https://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/miss-me-with-that/id1399451091?mt=2

This weekend I'm in Burlington, VT at Vermont Comedy Club with Beth Stelling. Come say hi!

    Thanks for listening,

Inside Baseball with the Baseball Card Vandals
Hey everybody! Hope you're doin well as usual. I have a hot one for ya today! First I talk about gettin sick and quittin cigs, yellin and dyin, but then - but THEN! I partake in one of the most fun talks I've had in a while with two fellas whose work I've been a fan of for years.

Every day since 2012, brothers Beau and Bryan Abbott have drawn crude jokes on their old trading cards from the '80s and '90s and posted them on Tumblr, Twitter, and Instagram as Baseball Card Vandals. Today I talk to them about their lives, how it all started, creating for the sake of your own happiness, and find out the inside scoop on the weirdest geniuses and most beautifully demented fellas to ever grab a sharpie.

Baseball Card Vandals have a book coming out called "Baseball Card Vandals: Over 200 Decent Jokes on Worthless Cards!"

Shadow Brain with Christopher Mansfield of Fences
Hey! How the hell are ya? Doin well, I hope. I'm comin to ya today with a great episode if I do say so myself. I get back into cooking and try to multitask while recording the podcast with mixed results.

I also talk to singer/songwriter Christopher Mansfield from the band Fences - not to be confused with the award winning Denzel Washington/Viola Davis film "Fences" - cuz holy hell will you be surprised when it's not that. Anyway, we have a great talk about sobriety, mania, recovering from it all through creating, and also we learn about the Earl of Sandwich. I really enjoyed this episode and I hope you do, too.

Thanks for listenin' & if ya get a second - rate, review, subscribe, make a post, or tell a friend - it helps!

Our Fight with Roger Miret from Agnostic Front
Happy New Year everybody! This is the first pod of 2019 and it's a doozy, folks. I tell the tale of the great scarfcapade of 2018 and then I get to my interview with Roger Miret.

For those that don't know, Roger Miret was a Cuban immigrant who came to America at the age of four in 1968 and became a pioneer of the New York Hardcore scene in the 80s. He joined seminal NYHC group Agnostic Front in 1983 and has influenced and changed people's attitudes, lives, and perceptions thru his music worldwide.

The music of Agnostic Front and NYHC in general oozes brutality and violence, but beneath that is a layer of humanity and brotherhood that's often overlooked. Hearing Roger speak to that in this conversation, and seeing it play out in the documentary "Godfathers of Hardcore" as well as in his book "My Riot" is extremely fascinating. "My Riot" is a true immigrant story of survival in a land of desperation and despair and ultimately, triumphantly, coming out on top.

Enjoy this conversation I have with a dude that's sweet as hell who's lived a life that's influenced countless others and who's been humble and true to himself throughout it all.

I'm Not Famous with Corinne Fisher
Hey gang welcome back to another episode of the pod! This week I talk to an old pal by the name of Corinne Fisher - comedian, author, and podcaster - from a lil podcast called Guys We F****d (and Two Less Lonely Girls).
What is fame? What is privacy? What is the cross section between the two? How do you balance exposure and exploitation with your own right to privacy and keep doing what you love in the process? We try to figure it out today and have fun along the way. Really enjoyed this one and I hope you do, too.

The Frida Kahlo of the Lower East Side with Sergio Chicon
hey all! This week I'm coming to you live from Stand Up NY Labs where I interview an old friend of mine - comedian, boxer, & reptile enthusiast Sergio Chicon. Sergio & I met when I started comedy in 2011 & have been friends ever since. Watching him grow from a pioneer of DBS (dirtbag shit) to a loving father and husband has been a cool thing to see.

Today we talked about his life growing up in the Baruch Projects on the Lower East Side, how neighborhood violence impacted his upbringing and outlook, and how snakes slithered their way into his life to save him from it all.

    thanks for listening!
