O'Neil & Martin Sacked | The Fan View | with Bradley Parker & Matt Samuel

The Premier League lost two managers over the weekend following the respective decisions of Wolves and Southampton to dismiss Gary O'Neil and Russell Martin respectively.

On the Fan View James is joined by Wolves fan Bradley Parker and Southampton fan Matt Samuel to discuss their club's decisions, where it's gone wrong and what may be to come next.

Have the clubs waited too long?

Who's made the decision at Wolves to approach Vitor Pereira and what can we expect from the expected new man?

Was the decision by Southampton to remove Martin made during the game against Tottenham, and are they therefore not ready to make their new appointment?

There's discussion on the ownership at Wolves, the type of manager Saints may want and the battle to avoid relegation.

From Across The Hall | Planet FPL S. 8 Ep. 25 | GW16 Review | Fantasy Premier League

A tired James joins Suj to discuss the weekend football in Gameweek 16 which ended with Tottenham scoring five in the first half at St Mary's and Cole Palmer blanking in Chelsea's victory against Brentford. But Palmer wasn't the only big name FPL player to underwhelm this weekend where having the right differentials will have made the difference for many.

There's coverage of all 9 games as Arsenal and Liverpool both dropped points at home and City blew a lead late to lose the Manchester Derby.

And there are new FPL assets emerging to consider including the weekend's highest scorer Ismaila Sarr and a returning Diogo Jota, James has made an early transfer to bin the suspended Ryan Ait-Nouri, and there's a new FPL Chip to play with soon too!

Brighton v Crystal Palace | CotC with Sam Murray & Ruaidhri McLoughlin-Dowd | Planet FPL 2024/25

It's another meeting of 'rivals' on Clash of the Correspondents as James is joined by Brighton fan Sam Murray and Crystal Palace fan Ruaidhri McLoughlin-Dowd to discuss the latest at their clubs, expectations, performance and the FPL assets at the clubs ahead of Sunday's meeting at The Amex.

Brighton are 7th but it feels like it could have been so much better after a couple of weeks that has included dropped points after being ahead against Southampton and Leicester. Is consistency likely to hold them back in a bid to qualify for Europe.

Palace meanwhile are 17th, but of the 6 teams cut adrift at the foot of the table the feeling from most is that they're far better than their placing suggests. it's 1 defeat in in 7, or 1 win in 6, depending on how you want to look at it.

Plus there's discussion on FPL assets, with comparisons of players at the clubs, including Dean Henderson v Bart Verbuggen and Kaoru Mitoma v Ebe Eze. There's also focus on Joao Pedro, cheaper midfielders and the best choices from the backlines, with The Seagulls in the middle of a great run, and a positive turn of fixtures is only around the corner for The Eagles.

Chelsea v Brentford | CotC with Gary Mantle & Tom Medd | Planet FPL 2024/25

James is joined by Chelsea fan Gary Mantle and Brentford fan Tom Medd to discuss the latest at their clubs ahead of Sunday's Gameweek 16 meeting at Stamford Bridge.

Are Chelsea now serious title contenders following Sunday's victory at White Hart Lane or are there too many concerns around aspects of their defence?

Can Brentford turn any of their incredible home form into success on the road or is the disparity in home v away results explained away by the quality of opponents faced?

Plus, FPL discussion includes whether man of the moment Cole Palmer should be captained this weekend, the appeal of enabler Enzo Fernandez, if Robert Sanchez and Levi Colwill are safe from further rotation and whether it's time to finally say goodbye for FPL managers who have held Brentford's players such as Mark Flekken, Bryan Mbeumo and Yoane Wissa.

Ask James | Tuesday December 10th | Planet FPL 2024/25

An earlier in the week Ask James stream this week due to James' trip to Glasgow for Tottenham's Europa League game and Rangers and naturally there is further Tottenham conversation on the under pressure Ange Postecoglu, but much of the fans ire is likely to be directed at Chairman Daniel Levy.

Plus, FPL discussion features discussion on GW16 captaincy, thoughts on the in-demand Enzo Fernandez, forward and defender options under consideration and lots more...

    Breaking Wind | Planet FPL S. 8 Ep. 24 | GW15 Review | Fantasy Premier League

Suj and James review the weekend of Gameweek 15 that saw us a game down following the postponement of The Merseyside Derby and the Podcast includes details of when the game may be rearranged to.

Unfortunately for those still on the Erling Haaland path, Mo Salah owners appear to have won again, with many moving the captaincy from Salah to Cole Palmer who returned with an 18 pointer in Chelsea's 4-3 victory at White Hart Lane which increased the pressure on Ange Postecoglu. Is James ready to call time on the Aussie's reign!?

Plus, analysis of all the games, info on those walking the suspension tightrope, defenders are on agenda but there aren't many that convince, should Bryan Mbeumo and Yoane Wissa really be sold after returning well against Newcastle, Gameweek 16 should look good on paper and there are well wishes for Michail Antonio.

    It's Goin Down, I'm Yellin | Planet FPL S. 8 Ep. 23 | GW14 Review | Fantasy Premier League

Clayton joins James for a review of GW14 in a week where Arsenal won from corners and Tottenham lost from one, but that's not the only reason Tottenham lost, and James is in a mood this morning following the dismal showing at Bournemouth.

He did at least have some reason to cheer via FPL means as Alexander Isak was held and returned well in Newcastle's thrilling draw against Liverpool, but Mo Salah dominated again with another monster haul. The Egyptian King is now up to a barely believable 151 FPL Points for the season.

Clayton's gameweek meanwhile was somewhat saved by an Arsenal player and The Gunners ran out winners against a Manchester United team, who impressed with their structure, if not their threat.

All the games from Wednesday to Thursday covered, including Chelsea's demolition of Southampton, Aston Villa and Manchester City getting back to winning ways; whilst there's debate on FPL transfers as James seeks a new defender, there's a solution offered for Bryan Mbeumo owners, if those who have prersisted with Erling Haaland have to call it quits and is there enough reason to take Salah on with the captaincy this week?

...Tottenham might have offered one... but not for the right reasons.

Fulham v Arsenal | CotC with Lewis James & Adam Pritchard | Planet FPL 2024/25

On Clash of the Correspondents it's a London Derby preview as James is joined by Fulham fan Lewis James and Arsenal fan Adam Pritchard to discuss the latest at their clubs and their FPL assets ahead of Sunday's GW15 meeting at Craven Cottage.

But first for Fulham, they host Brighton tonight, and victory could see them move up to 6th and on Understat's expected points model they should be 3rd, yet Lewis raises some frustrations will some recent results and performances.

For Arsenal it was a third straight win last night after two goals scored from corners saw off Manchester United and that was despite the absence of Gabriel and Riccardo Calafiori who will remain doubts for Sunday.

There's FPL discussion on Bukayo Saka, Jurrien Timber's appeal, if Kai Havertz's returns are a concern, Martin Odegaard's impact since his return, whether owners should sell Fulham assets Antonee Robinson and/or Raul Jimenez, who's the better pivk between Alex Iwobi and Emile Smith Rowe plus lots more...
