Comedians Winston Carter and David Zwick interview their guests about a food they hate and then join their guests for a meal they've prepared using that hated food in each dish.
Due to global events, David updates listeners on why both he and Winston are pausing their current hiatus with the goal of relaunching as soon as they can.

For our second HotTasteus/HiTasteus hiatus episode, Hot Tastes includes a wild David take that accidental syrup spillage on diner pancakes is cause for concern and Winston thinks the typical breakfast combo at a restaurant should always include juice or coffee baked into the price. The May 17th, 2018 episode with Ted Hopson (of The Bellwether) is reissued where Gingerbread is the highlighed food (and one of the worst things we've ever made was served up).

The #HotTasteus or #HiTasteus is announced. David/Winston announce a (false) hiatus, a six week break in which new Hot Tastes will be tacked on the front of reissued highlight episodes for the next six weeks (plus a full new Spring Slamdown episode in the middle) followed by a Season 2 with new episodes plus bonus episodes on a Patreon coming in April (the main feed won't change once season 2 begins, it'll be the same old show you know and love). For this episode's Hot Tastes, David wants more inflused waters for coffee and Winston wants bagel restaurants barred from making him feel bad that he wants his bagel toasted. Celery Tarts, a homemade root beer, and a trip to Islands in Burbank are also discussed
