Patrice and Laura have learned SO much. We are so grateful for Telesomm to join us on this collaborative podcasting adventure for season 6 of #InVinoFab. Learning from the somms of Telesomm:

    • There IS storytelling in wine!
    • You don’t have to be a somm in a restaurant or vineyard -- many ways to somm
    • Cost vs. quality -- it doesn’t always matter
    • How to be brave when you taste wine
    • Wine is everywhere => regions of wine: Durham, NC, Detroit, all over Italy, Sonoma, etc.
    • You don’t have to be “fancy” to enjoy wine -- let’s take the snobbery out of wine
    • Travel with a bottle of wine (figuratively or literally)
    • To learn wine is a personal journey a
    • You don’t have to be an expert, you just have to taste, try, and be BOLD!
    • Your taste in wine is really the only taste that matters!
    • Being a sommelier sounds like fun – maybe we want to go down this path ourselves!?!
    • There’s no one way to be a sommelier – choose your own adventure in wine

    @Telesomm Wine Pro-Tips with Katarina

We hope you got a taste for Italian wine, travel, and learning about the wine world from Katarina in her Telesomm #SommStory -- for this episode we hope you learn more from this wine pro, as Katarina answered the following questions:

    • Favorite pairing food and wine?
    • If wine was not what you were drinking, what would be in your cup?
    • What is your pet's favorite wine
    • What are your top 3 wines and what does that say about you?
    • A sommelier pairs well with_________. [Fill in the blank]
    • What do people get wrong about being a somm
    • What are you known for on the app?
    • What do customers ask you about?
    • What can a customer expect from a wine tasting with you?
    • What's the difference between Chianti & Chianti Classico?
"I don’t think there is one kind of wine to like. I think everyone can like wine. Everyone doesn’t need to be super knowledgeable about wine. It’s also important to just like wine. I don’t think you have to describe wine according to these parameters that have been constructed all these years.” ~Katarina Andersson, Grapevine Adventures

We just learned so much from Katarina's Q&A we couldn't help to take a few tasting notes:

There were so many amazing Italian locations and vinos we talked about on this #InVinoFab episode, here are a few tasting notes:

    @Telesomm Wine Pro-Tips with Christopher

Wine-Pro Tip from @Telesomm Christopher: When it comes to drinking wine in general, I hear people say I can’t drink red wine because the sulfite gives me a red wine headache but they’ll grab a bottle of pinot grigio or Chardonnay. My knowledge bomb is white wines have more sulfites than red wines. If you get a headache from red wine it is probably not the sulfites. Maybe learn about Mega Purple.

For this quick Q&A, here are the questions our Telesomm wine pro, Christopher, answered:

    • Favorite pairing food and wine?
    • If wine was not what you were drinking, what would be in your cup?
    • What is your pet's favorite wine
    • What are your top 3 wines and what does that say about you?
    • A sommelier pairs well with_________. [Fill in the blank]
    • What do people get wrong about being a somm
    • What are you known for on the app?
    • What do customers ask you about?
    • Does it matter if wines are labelled organic or biodynamic?
    • What can a customer expect from a wine tasting with you?
“My card says I am a sales representative, I consider myself a storyteller. It’s been very nice to be able to make a living off of telling stories and imbibing in some of the best products in the world."
