How are you feeling about your work world right now? 2020 has been a year for the history books for a number of reasons, and has presented us all with a whole myriad of challenges. In amongst those is navigating new work-life waters. Did you make a career pivot this year? Is your employer instigating a hiring freeze? Have you experienced an ‘aha!’ moment? In today’s episode we are sharing our own career journeys and lifting the lid on our same-but-different career paths with blogging. Ella shares why she’s pivoted away from blogging and into a new career altogether, and Monica opens up about the multiple hats she wears outside of the blogging world. In today’s episode we also play “what to do if . . .” with career scenarios, including what to do if you have been made redundant/graduated in 2020/want to pursue a side hustle.
We hope that today’s episode can help you to find clarity, or at least comradeship, in your own career journey. As always we would love to hear your thoughts so please do drop us a line, or send us a DM.

AUDIO NOTE
Due to COVID-19 we have recorded Season 10 of Let’s Discuss Podcast remotely. This has allowed us the opportunity to connect with you all (yay!) via your earbuds, but unfortunately some of the audio isn’t as on point as we’d like it to be. Thank you for your understanding, and we hope you enjoy the show nonetheless.
Welcome back to a brand new season of Let’s Discuss podcast! We are so happy to be entering double digits here with you, kick starting Season 10.
Today’s episode is a ‘COVID-19 catch-up’. Things have changed dramatically in the world since Season 9 of the show, when we were on the cusp of our first lockdown here in the UK.
Since then, the term “corona-coaster” has been banded about with good reason. It has been a year of many ups and downs, and today we’re sharing what’s kept us going during this ‘unprecedented’ time.
We hope you’ll enjoy this week’s episode, and let us know how you get on playing Pandemic Bingo with us!

Working from home has been the norm for both of us for many years, but given the current state of the world it’s a working setup that many people are new to. We happened to record this episode just before lockdown was enforced in the UK, and now the timing for it could not feel more poignant.
Whether you’re well into your WFH groove or it is completely new to you, we hope that this episode will be helpful.
We have gathered all of our best advice for working efficiently from home, including tips on setting up your office space, organising your time, being productive and navigating feelings of loneliness.

When someone brings up the topic of people pleasing, do you immediately think “yep, that describes me!”? To an extent we all ‘people please’ from time to time, be it saying “yes” to something which benefits someone else, and not us, or consistently agreeing to a commitment which really isn’t in our best interest.
People pleasing isn’t synonymous with doing something wrong, but when your needs are knocked to the bottom of the pile time and time again, your tendency to say “yes” all the time may need to be revisited.
In today’s episode of Let’s Discuss podcast we address the issue of people pleasing, how it crops up in our own lives, and how we try to safeguard ourselves from people pleasing tendencies which have a negative impact.
