In today’s episode, we continue our journey through the incredible story of the prophet Elisha. We visit a town called Shunem, where Elisha meets a kind and wealthy woman. Despite not knowing her name, the Bible highlights her as the Shunammite woman, and her story teaches us about being hopeful even when it can feel scary, kindness, and God’s power to make the impossible possible.

2 Kings 4: 1-7

John 1:43-51

Today we hear Jesus gather more followers; Phillip and Nathanael. Nathanael doubts that the the savior could come from the town of Nazareth. We hear Jesus' response to this and from it learn that Jesus knows what’s going on inside of us, our thoughts and feelings, and He knows what’s going on outside of us.  Jesus is such a powerful & loving father that there will never be a time when He does not know what’s going on in your life and that brings us comfort today.

Today’s story takes us to a little town called Bethlehem, where the wise men—also called Magi—follow a bright star to find Jesus. What did they bring Him? Why was King Herod so upset? And what does this story teach us about Jesus coming for all people, not just one group? Listen as we explore Matthew 2:1-12 and discover how the wise men’s journey reminds us that Jesus is the King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

Micah 5:2, John 3:16-18, & Luke 2:1-7

Today we learn what a prophet is when we introduce Micah. We discuss how Micah specifically told where Jesus would be born and we follow the journey God put Mary and Joseph on to get them from Nazareth to Bethlehem. God used different people, events, etc but it allllllll happened just as He said it would. This story also drives home John 3:16-18; that God sent his son Jesus, not to condemn the World, but to save us through Jesus. What a precious gift this is!

Matthew 1:18-24 and Luke 1:26-38

 In today’s episode, we explore the miraculous story of Mary and Joseph and how God chose them for an extraordinary purpose. Mary, a young woman in Nazareth, was preparing for her wedding to Joseph when her life was interrupted by an angel named Gabriel. Gabriel brought incredible news—Mary would give birth to Jesus, the Son of God.

We also learn about Joseph’s reaction when he found out and how God sent an angel to reassure him in a dream. Through their faith and obedience, Mary and Joseph show us how to trust God, even when His plans seem bigger than anything we could imagine.

2 Kings 3:20-25

Today’s episode continues our journey with Elisha and the three kings. When the Israelites were in need, God performed an amazing miracle—filling the land with water, even though there was no rain! The Moabites, the enemies of Israel, thought the water was blood and believed the armies had fought each other. They charged in, only to find the Israelites ready to fight!

We are reminded of God’s power and ability to work in such mysterious ways. We use  a relatable example for kids to show them that God is always with them, actively working in their lives, even in ways they might not see right away.

2 Kings 3:1-11

In this exciting new series, we dive into the life of Elisha, the prophet who followed Elijah. After receiving a double portion of Elijah's spirit, Elisha was empowered by God to perform twice as many miracles as his teacher! Today, we join Elisha at the beginning of his journey when three kings—Jehoram of Israel, Jehoshaphat of Judah, and the king of Edom—team up to fight the king of Moab. Their journey, however, quickly goes wrong as they find themselves lost and without water in the wilderness. In desperation, King Jehoshaphat suggests seeking guidance from a prophet. Enter Elisha!
