Hi there! Trapper Jack here. Have you seen the movie Bonhoeffer? A WWII Methodist Pastor joins a resistance organization that is attempting to assassinate Adolf Hitler. While the pastor believed murder was evil, Bonhoeffer also believed that the action was justified because Hitler posed a greater evil. Ultimately, Bonhoeffer was martyred.

Do you ever wonder what you would do if faced with saying yes or no to Christ when your life was on the line? Tammie has been pondering that question for about 18 years. It was then that she experienced a vision, or dream, of kneeling and praying in a jail cell knowing that she was about to be executed for her Christian faith. She heard the footsteps of the one coming down the hall to get her. Tammie woke up with a tear-stained pillow.

Was this a prophetic vision? She has always wondered what she would do if the moment of truth arrived. In an unusual statement of faith, tattoos might be giving us the answer of how bold and permanent Tammie's faithfulness is to our Lord. Enjoy the podcast.

Hi there! Trapper Jack here. How did this one slip by the historians? As we gathered around the Thanksgiving table this year, somebody brought up the original Thanksgiving story of Pilgrims and such. The 102 souls who ventured from Europe for religious freedom. It gave me an opportunity to share the much bigger story which occurred in the same timeframe. Few seem to know about the 60,000 indigenous people, otherwise known as Indians, who were baptized into Christianity, right here in what we now call America. Since I have not talked about this on the podcast for more than five years, let's have a go of it again. It opens the door to the saintly types who walk among us, in particular, the venerable Maria de Ágreda (Mary of Jesus) who bilocated to what is now the southwest of the United States from her convent in Spain. This sister, in her blue habit, was seen flying in and out of what we now call Arizona, New Mexico, and Texas. Don't believe it? Hi! Trapper Jack here. Movie watching has led to our topic this week.

The music that has bubbled up in my head comes from the movie Superman with Christopher Reeve. It's a particular piece of music that plays while Superman is taking Lois Lane on a flight over Metropolis. We hear her thoughts. As she wonders, 'Can you read my mind? 'I'm holding hands with a god.'

Spiritualized, the scene leads us to the reality that God is always reading our minds. If you reflect on the last few episodes, it’s all about our minds. Are we sharing the mind of God, or have we created God in our image? Sadly, we are finding out how often we are in opposition to our heavenly Father, and His Biblical View. The upside in this episode is what the Holy Spirit can do within us, when we are in alignment with Him. It’s fantastic and supernatural! Enjoy the podcast!

Hi! Trapper Jack here. I said some crazy prophetic type of stuff 60 plus weeks ago in episode 280. The podcast mentioned how the music that bubbles up in my head led me to the possibility of an assassination of Donald Trump, but divine intervention would lead to an election victory. I kept wondering in that episode what all the little puzzle pieces might mean.

I literally just walked our daughter, Carolyn, down the aisle to her wonderful new husband, Daniel. My wife, Elizabeth, and I were just reflecting on a particular Sunday morning, five years ago, while we were headed home from Sunday mass.

There was a song playing in my head, ‘For a man shall leave his mother, and a woman shall leave her home.’ It’s called The Wedding Song. When we arrived home, our daughter Carolyn was waiting for us. Carolyn said, 'You know how I've always said that I would not mention any guy’s name or bring anyone home until things were getting serious. Well, it's time to tell you about Daniel.’

In this episode, Carolyn opens the door to the heavenly connections that many children have in the first few years of their lives. By about age five, we develop amnesia to those special early memories. We then begin the process of walking away and then, back to, God and heaven. Here then are some great examples of God speaking quite loudly through kids age three and four. Enjoy the podcast!

Hi! Trapper Jack here. Have you ever pondered the gospel where Jesus has locked up the house that is headed for heaven. In this parable, the crowd arrives and says, ‘open up,’ but Jesus says, ‘I do not know you. Go away you evil doers.’

You and I assume that we are inside the house, right? Well, that crowd had the same assumption. That big crowd had apparently never figured something out. Maybe I’ve missed something.

In this episode we will see where the crowds are gathering, and where they are not. We will even see what they cheer about. We will then ask Jesus and Satan whether or not they would join in the cheering. Maybe then I will have a better picture of whether I am in or out. Enjoy the podcast.

I wasn’t sure if I believed in ghosts or not. Then, I met Maryann. For 25 consecutive Halloween mornings, Maryann Winkowski, who inspired the CBS television hit series Ghost Whisperer, would join me on the radio. We would take calls from listeners who believed they had a ghost in their house. Many did. I would push Maryanne to prove that she could see what she said that she could see. She did so with dazzling accuracy. I have never seen anyone prove the existence of ghosts better than Maryann. She turned the subject matter into a no-brainer for me and the listening audience.

I’m going back into the archives ten years for this interview with Cleveland’s best-known ghostbuster. Beyond stating the case that ghosts are real, the overwritten message is what can happen in the afterlife, when we become so irrevocably stuck to the physical things of this earth. Hi! Trapper Jack here.  I remember reading a much-publicized Newsweek article, almost 20 years ago, that said single women over 40 were more likely to be killed by a terrorist then to find a mate. Cheery thought, yes? Fortunately, it was nonsense, but caught on as a hapless truth of a middle-aged life.

 Question… Did you pray to have God provide your spouse? Did you pray after marrying the ‘wrong’ one? Did you receive a sign that your mate was on the way. In other words, was God invited into the discussion?

Love conquers all in this podcast episode as Jennifer finally had her marriage prayers answered at age 46. Vickie waited eleven years for the guy to show up that she had seen in a vision. Gina was apparently married to the wrong man for 25 years. Miraculously, a pilgrimage Gina and her husband made to Medjugorje had Gina asking her newly converted fellow, ‘who are you and what did you do with my husband?’ These three stories would fall under the category of, ‘with God, all things are possible.’ Enjoy the podcast!

Hi! Trapper Jack here. As I think about it, it’s really a rather simple story. Rich wanted something. He prayed for it. He got it. 

Did Rich pray directly to anyone of the three in the Trinity? No. The one he approached for his intercessory prayer happens to be the one known as the Saint of impossible causes.

Here, God is awakening us to a basic truth. However you approach God, He is listening. In this case, it was the communion of Saints who were asked to intercede for Rich. Some ask, "Why would you pray to dead people?" Well, first off, they are not dead. Even Jesus was seen by some of His apostles talking to ‘dead’ people, namely, Moses and Elijah.

Maybe a bigger question is, what does prayer while looking at the Saint’s bone remains, have to do with anything? In this case, Rich, was dealing with irreversible pain from a boating accident. Asking for the impossible. Shockingly, even to Rich, the impossible prayer was answered. Interesting how this story got the attention of an atheist friend of Rich. Sometimes, God is just trying to get somebody to awaken to the truth about God and prayer. Enjoy the podcast!
