The story revolves around two princes, the sons of a king, who follow different paths in life. The king, worried about leaving his wealth to his sons, asks an old friend, a hermit, to bury his treasure in his hermitage. The king dies, and the two brothers quarrel over the kingdom. The younger prince, driven out of the city, seeks guidance from the hermit, who has since passed away. The prince decides to follow the hermit's example and leads a life of asceticism. Meanwhile, the older prince becomes king and squanders the wealth, leading to the downfall of the kingdom.

In this episode of the Jatak, Panchatantra and Hittopadesh Tales podcast, we explore the story of the snake and the ants. Once upon a time, a mighty black snake named Nagraj lived inside an anthill on a rocky outcrop. Every day, Nagraj would venture out in search of food, using a safe passage to avoid the dangerous sharp stones around the anthill. However, one day he decided to take a different route and got stuck between two rocks, wounded and unable to move. This created the perfect opportunity for the ants, who had been waiting to take revenge after Nagraj had driven them away from their home. Drawn by the scent of blood, hundreds of ants began to crawl all over the mighty snake, stinging him and enlarging his wounds. Ultimately, Nagraj met his fate and perished under the unrelenting attacks of the ants. Join us as we delve into the moral of this story, reminding us that even the mightiest among us are destined to meet their end.
