  • Daddy Issues

Messiah’s House · Daddy Issues – Leanna Craft

Daddy issues can affect both males and females alike. The Devil is the Father of lies and one of His main motives is to deceive us about the true character of God as our loving Father. Our view of God as our Father shapes our lives. Our relationship, or lack of, with an earthly father can help form our identity and perception of God. This sermon reveals what Daddy Issues are, how to be free, and see God as The Good Father no matter how you grew up.

  • Competing Voices

    Messiah’s House · Competing – Jason Craft

The Holy Spirit is not just an influence or force but He is a person.  The Scriptures attribute to the Holy Spirit characteristics that only a person can truly possess.  He is portrayed as a thinking being, a being who has a mind, an emotional being, and a volitional being.  The Holy Spirit reasons, speaks, and He can even be grieved.  The Holy Spirit has a positive ministry in our lives and one of His roles is to reveal the plans of God to us.  He will speak to us and lead us into abundant life if we will choose to heed His voice.  We must cultivate fellowship with the Holy Spirit and learn how to hear his voice while at the same time, recognizing that there are other voices competing for our attention.  This message deals with three different voices that will oppose the voice of God at certain times in our journey.

  • Your Past Is Not Yours

Messiah’s House · Your Past Is Not Yours – Jason Craft

The ministry of The Holy Spirit is one of comfort, not condemnation. His role is positive, not negative! The Spirit convicts us of righteousness so that we have confidence to draw near to God. The Holy Spirit wants to inspire confidence, not self doubt. This message deals with how the enemy wants to use our past and our guilty conscience to condemn us and try to separate us from an awareness of God’s love.

  • Taking Comfort in Conviction

Messiah’s House · Taking Comfort in Conviction – Jason Craft

The ministry of the Holy Spirit is not one of condemnation, it’s one of comfort. Just as God did not send Jesus to condemn the world, Jesus did not send the Holy Spirit to condemn the world. When we think about Holy Spirit conviction, we need to first understand that His role in our lives is positive, not negative. This message deals with how the Holy Spirit convicts us and how we can be strengthened and comforted by His convictions.

  • The Gospel of Fear

Messiah’s House · The Gospel of Fear – Jason Craft

Many people in the Church were saved by the gospel of fear rather than the gospel of love. In other words, many people come to Christ simply because they are afraid of eternal damnation, not because they want an everlasting place with a God who loves them. When a person gets saved out of fear they usually continue to serve God out of fear and the end result is lukewarm christianity.  This message deals with three main reasons that you never have to be afraid of God or serve God out of fear.

  • Lessons From Philippians

Messiah’s House · Lessons From Philippians – Gary London

According to Acts 16, on Paul’s second missionary journey, he planted a church in the city of Philippi. About ten years later, those Christians were in a time of intense persecution, so Paul wrote a letter to them (Philippians) to equip them with the truths they needed to persevere victoriously through all their trials and troubles. The lessons are all centered around joy – overcoming, victorious, triumphant joy! These lessons are relevant to us today, with the hardships and shaking that many are experiencing.

  • Truth From The Tombs

Messiah’s House · Truths From The Tomb – Jason Craft

From a historical standpoint, almost everyone knows something about the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Easter is by far the most well attended Sunday service every year for churches across the land. Many people know that Jesus was laid in a tomb after his death and that a stone was placed over the entrance so that no one could steal His body. Scripture tells us that when the women went to the tomb to anoint the body of Jesus that they found the stone had been rolled away and that the tomb was empty. The empty tomb means that Jesus is risen from the dead! The empty tomb is relevant for us today and there are many truths that we can takeaway from that first Easter Sunday. Be careful to listen to this Easter message because the empty tomb is still speaking to us!
