Shalom Sistas is a podcast hosted by Osheta Moore, a wifey, writer, entrepreneur, and mom who loves to talk Shalom with her favorite women, her Shalom Sistas. While Shalom is often thought of as another word for peace, it’s actually a deep and wide concept of the world as it should be- whole, flourishing, and vibrant. Being a Shalom Sistah is as simple as seeing a need in the world and asking "how can I help?" Every episode Osheta will introduce a Shalom Sista who asked that question to share her story and give practical advice that will inspire and encourage women to be wholehearted and seek wholeness in the world right around her. We don’t’ get preachy but we do get personal, practical, and at times a little playful!
Hey Friends,
Here are the seven last words of Jesus we discuss today.
Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do.
Truly, I say unto you, today you will be with me in paradise.
Woman, behold thy son. (Says to disciple) Behold thy mother.
My God, My God, why have you forsaken me?
I thirst.
It is finished.
Father, into thy hands I commit my spirit.
Big thank you to OK Factor for use of their song, Uncharted. Go grab it on Bandcamp.

Hey Sistas,
Today's guest is Shelley Jones!
Shelley Jones is the founder of dignify, an online boutique that sells handmade blankets that are made by women who are survivors of exploitation in Bangladesh. She is a wife, a mom, and a creative who is using what she has to work out shalom in her business, in the way she shops, and in the [online] world.
Today we talk about:
How she kinda tumbled into founding a fair trade company
How she loves to connect the stories of the women who shop Dignify to the women who make the blankets
How she LOVES, LOVES, LOVES Father Greg Boyle from Homeboy Industries
How she uses what she has in her hands right now to be a peacemaker.
Shelley gave us a code for free shipping when we visit her site:
https://www.shopdignify.com/pages/about-dignify
Use the code: SHALOM
through Nov. 26th for free shipping
Our Shalom Steps are:
1: Slow Down/ Calm Down
2: Make a List and start small
3: Shop Fair trade for women who cannot afford it for themselves
Shelley is a compelling and fun writer. Here are my favorite posts from the "Shop Good" blog.
