I have been Digital DJ'ing for about three years and have found myself being drawn in to the chilled out worlds of Lounge, NuJazz, House, and Latin Rhythm. The Chill with The Chola podcast was a monthly show in which I explored all things jazzy, funky, and chilled out! The final episode debuted in March 2010 and an archive was brought online of the entire podcast at Definitve Downtempo. This is the RSS feed for that archive. The mixes that you will find in this archive are a good choice when you need to create a colorful backround for great conversation with friends during cocktails or dinner. They are also great to throw on when you just need to chill, catch up on some reading, or have a nice nap. This is not Ambient, you need ryhthm, but not in your face. Its jazzy, its smooth, heck, it can even be progressive. But, these mixes will never take you too deep and will never create anything but POSITIVE VIBES. :) Enjoy, Chola

    It is with a heavy heart that I write this, but unfortunately the time has come to remove the archive of the Chill with the Chola Podcast. For those of you that supported the project all those years ago, thank you and I hope you still enjoy each mix today.

    For those of you that did not get to experience it, I can only say that the 37 eclectic mixes included some of the finest downtempo, bossanovas, nujazz, nufunk, dnb, hip hop and house around, at least at that time and place. If this sounds right up your alley and you are willing to do a little google work, you may find that a fan has parked a copy of the ARCHIVE ehem… (.org) 😉

    Raise a glass, and toast… “to the end.”
