Johan Ekman

Johan Ekman was born 13th January 1987 in a town called Örebro, Sweden. Since he was a child he has felt that music is his one true passion, and at the age of 12 he decided to start produce music by himself.

Ekman did some DJ gigs in his hometown, some school discos and private parties, but after a while he felt that he should focus only at producing and build up his name as producer. The hard work paid off, and today Johan has released on some of the biggest labels including Recover, Discover, Future Sound Of Egypt, Omerta, Resonate and now the mighty Nukleuz Records.

In 2008 Johan Ekman released “Timeless” on Discover charted for 2 weeks in top 10 before hit the number 1 spot for a week, it is said that it was one of the biggest tunes of the year. Ekman’s dirty, driving and yet euphoric and uplifting trance sound has seen him gain huge support from leading DJs including Aly & Fila, John Askew, Eddie Halliwell, W & W and Daniel Kandi.

This year Johan is not only producing he is also back on the scene with fresh new songs and energy. Launching his radioshow “Decibel” (1st Monday each month 22-24 CET/GMT+1 on www.totaalfm.com) has made people open up their eyes for this talented up & coming DJ and producer.

Probably one of the most exciting and talented producers in Electronic Dance Music at the moment,
Sander van Dien has cemented his place in the record boxes and sets of the biggest and most influential Progressive and Trance acts across the globe.
Under the FIRSTSTATE guise, he has been able to produce some of the biggest and most noticeable tracks over the passed 3 years. Until recently, “FALLING” (featuring Anita Kelsey) was somewhat of an anthem, and gained monumental support, especially from Tiesto, who requested that FIRSTSTATE perform alongside him on the famous “In Search Of Sunrise” tour across Europe.

This talented producer from Cape Town, South Africa has been producing for many years having finally broken through in 2008 with his huge euphoric track “Fantasy” which was released on Redux Recordings in Germany.
Since then it has been one way and that’s been up , with releases on Relic Recordings, Nukleuz, Fektive Records /Total Digital, Vision Control, Peak Records, Inov8 etc. and future releases on Dataless Records, Shah Music, Resonate, Electra, Upbeat Music, Edge Recordings etc, the future is looking bright.

His works have been supported by the likes of Judge Jules, Agnelli & Nelson, Fast Distance, 4 Strings, Manuel Le Saux, Pedro Del Mar, Roger Shah, John Wright, Graham Gold, Talla 2XLC, Ernesto & Bastian, Rene Ablaze, Simon Pitt & many more.

Rene Ablaze
Rene Ablaze’s civil name is Rene Bos and he was born in the Netherlands in the area of Enschede. Music was one of his first interests and so he started his career by playing in little Clubs and Discotheques in 1986. His predilection have been vinyl records ever since.

After years of gathering experience with almost every style of music, he made his decision to focus on Trance & Progressive. That is the sound he found himself liking very much. People in the little Clubs those days often were astonished about the Trance sound he performed.

Based on his interesting and perfectly mixed sets he always managed to engage the party guests in wild partying, without consideration for the daytime.

In a discotheque near the town Dülmen in Germany, formerly know as “Fantasy”, he excited the masses as the Resident DJ at the legendary “Innovation Raves” and after that he was a Resident at the Legendary Hexenhouse Partys in the town Bocholt near the border to the Netherlands. These days he is playing all over the world! In the following years he concentrated on getting contacts and producing music.

After going through a lean period he published his first single-record under the label “Up-Beat” in 1996. “Based on Acid” was very successful in Germany as well as in other countries, and was the starting point for many following tracks, which then have been published by Rene Ablaze using synonyms and different labels.

Undoubtedly one of his biggest successes are the tracks “Back on Plastique” (X-it-Records) which entered the DDC charts, and the hit song with the twittering birds, “Balearic Desire” (Combined Forces, Netherlands) which reached an excellent position in the Dutch dance charts and played by DJs like Armin van Buuren, Tiesto and many others.

Beside working for his own company “ABLAZE PRODUCTIONS”, which among other things deals with mediation of artists and music productions, Rene also founded the record company “REDUX RECORDINGS” That is growing into a very popular Trance Label.

Overall Rene Ablaze can be denominated as a professional DJ and Producer who took his passion as his profession.
