Today on Cannabis Confidential Dr. Dina is joined by Veteran Jose Martinez, who lost three limbs in Afghanistan and found relief to his pain with medical cannabis. Jose stepped on an IED in Afghanistan and both of his legs and right arm were blown off. The loss of his limbs forced him to rely on pain pills which caused an addiction, leading him to believe he would soon be dead. Jose then found an alternative and turned to cannabis as medicine which has helped him regain his strength, manage his enormous pain, and live his life the way he deserves.. happy and healthy. Jose now dedicates his life to helping other veterans find relief through the Weed for Warriors Project. Weed for Warriors Project was started in the San Francisco Bay Area by an OEF United States Marine Corps Veteran who found relief from his service connected disabilities through medical marijuana and the fellowship of other like minded Veterans within the cannabis community. With the help of organizations like Santa Cruz Veterans Alliance, Weed for Warriors Project is able to provide Veterans with medical marijuana information, a safe place to fellowship with other Veterans and safe access to free medicine with proof of service/ current medical recommendation.
