    254: A Call to Honor, Humanity & Sanity (#1 of 3 in Genuine Power Series)

    Hello Dear Ones! After a month of being silent mode (and navigating a natural disaster) ... sitting with what words and wisdom wanted to emerge to support and guide us through these intense, transformative times... the inspiration came through for a 3-part series on Power ... specifically what I am calling "Genuine Power" - natural, innate, native power, different than authentic power and for sure different than distorted power.

    We are going to explore what genuine power looks and feels like ... what distorted, destructive power looks and feels like ... what is at the roots of both...  how do we open up our eyes to see and discern truth and reality .... and then how do we apply our co-creative power to reimagine the way we and this world work, now, from the inside out.

    This first episode in the series is #254: A Call to Honor, Humanity & Sanity.  

    Imagine this: What if in order to hold a position of power and leadership in any system - from a corporation to government to a family or community - a person had to meet the qualifications of embodying and expressing Honor, Humanity and Sanity ... and they also had to create an environment that instilled and cultivated those qualities in others?    

    Remember, the fertlizer to the see of new, elevated realities are to imagine it, bring language to it, and then through our voices, choices, presence, relations and projects, co-create it.

    In the podcast we will hone in on HONOR. HUMANITY. SANITY and use the power of the definitions below to bring forth the essence of what we are talking about what leadership - personal and systemic - looks and feels like when it's rooted in wholeness. 

    • Genuine - native, natural, innate
    • Honor - regard to respect. honesty. integrity. Honor is the harmony between humility and dignity.  Humility - freedom from false pride or arrogance, not equating worth to being better than Dignity - healthy self respect, quality of being worthy of honor 
    • Sanity - health/healthy. the ability to think and behave in normal, reasonable manner, sound power of mind. 
    • Humanity - man + earth, humane, to be a steward, to show care for other humans without regard to how their beliefs or choices may be different or similar to yours.

    253: Power Pause: Reset Imbalances + Refocus Your Energy for Last Part of the Year

    Wise beings know how to use the natural cycles of the earth and universe to support us to grow our work, wealth and relationships, and to support our overall wellbeing, and keep us focused on what matters.

    Which is why at the quarter point shifts of the year - Solstices and Equinoxes - our personal leadership best practice (and one we can do with our teams and partners) is taking what I call a Power Pause.

    Equinoxes specifically are all about illuminating imbalances, shifting habits to restore wellbeing, and re-focusing your priorities and intentions for the next quarter. In this episode we focus on the last quarter - between now and the end of the Roman calendar year (about 9 weeks) or between now and end of January, the start of the new lunar calendar year (about 12 weeks).

    Tune into this Power Pause and take a step back to get some perspective on the main parts of your whole life - your work in the world, your wellbeing foundation, your relationships and your personal growth / presence.  

    I will lead us through a creative inquiry process including somatic visualization to tune into and get clear on:

    • Where you truly desire to focus your energy, time and resources this last part of the year - so you start the new year in a good space + create momentum for next year
    • What two focus points - in your work in the world + your wellbeing foundation - matter most this last part of the year
    • What two relationships - with an individual and with a group/team/family/system are imbalanced and need a reset.

    The super power of Co-Creation. It's different than manifestation. It's not magical thinking. And it's the wise way for us as leaders to shift from pushing, grinding and striving to actually bringing our visions into form...without burning out or sacrificing our lives. And while it is about us as individuals, Co-Creation (emphasis on “co” piece) is not just about us as individuals - this is where the courage, compassion, and connection comes in to give us true super power.

    In this episode, Christine and Jennifer explore the feminine super power of co-creation through three key principles for bringing more of what we desire for ourselves and the world into reality. How we co-create with the Universe and each other to bring our desires from essence into form. Lean in, tune in and put into practice what feels aligned for you.

    249: Pause. Listen. CoCreate - Feminine Leadership Practice for Charting Your Course into Changing Times

    One of the things I love about the practice of cyclical planning and co creation is that it gives us the space to tune into wisdom before moving into action. If we dare to take that space - which could be days, weeks or months, we gain so many things really hard to see or believe if we are only operating in the busy mode of our day to day.  Things like: 

    Clarity on what matters .... where the momentum is... where it's not. 

    Acknowledgment of all the incremental progress we have made ... that's easy not to see or receive if we don't pause.

    Guidance that comes from a deeper wisdom than our minds can source. 

    Which is why I'm inviting you to take a breath, take a beat, and experiment with this practice I call Pause. Listen. Co-Create.

    It's one of the practices for' how' we create space for ourselves to evolve into the next, while sustaining the now, and releasing that which we no longer need.

    This is a practice we do every August - the first harvest of the year - but you can do it anytime.

    I will lead you through the 3 parts -

    1.Incremental Progress - What are you harvesting now because of where you put your attention, intention and resources the last 4 months of last year?

    2. Pausing - Reflect on the wisdom gained. What do you want to take with you / focus on into the rest of this year (this will create your harvest next year!) 

    3. Listening - What's falling off? What's shapeshifting? Where's the momentum taking you?

    4. Co-Create - What space + structure do you need to experiment, explore and elevate? 

    I will also check in with you on where I've been in my own journey these last few months using this process to chart my course forward.

    247: Staying Sane in an Insane World

    The word “sane” at its root means “free from mental disturbance.” So how can we free ourselves from mental disturbance in the midst of a world that is swirling with it? While we cannot stop the insanity we see happening in our world and the people within it, there are things we can do to stay sane, sustained, centered and focused on what matters. 

    In this episode, Christine and Jennifer share four practices for Staying Sane in an Insane World. These are practices to put into place proactively, in how we design our lives, the way we work, think, and operate. They are simple yet mighty structures that will hold us and keep us centered no matter what is happening around us. Here they are:

    246: Sacred Rage. Holy Grief.

    Anger and grief are good human emotions. They have the potential to open up so much for us – individually and collectively – which can lead to healing, breaking down barriers, and breaking through to better realities.

    The problem is that most humans weren't taught how to express anger or grief in healthy ways, so it comes out sideways in distorted ways, or it gets stuffed down until we blow up or get sick. Sometimes we are the receiver of that big emotional eruption and other times we are the "unleasher" or "erupter" on someone else.

    In this episode, Christine and Jennifer explore perspectives and practices around dealing with the kind of rage and grief that comes from our wounds or the wounds of others, and how to do it differently in ways that lead to wholeness. Together we’ll explore how we can:

    • Discharge anger and grief so that it doesn't build up inside us and leak out, or erupt in distorted ways
    • Have big emotions like rage and grief about the world, about our reality, about other people's actions or choices, without them consuming us
    • Use our big emotions to heal ourselves and ignite creative action that inspires
    • Deal with other people’s misdirected rage and grief
    • Respond to the things that enrage us, in powerful ways that make the world better vs. adding to the chaos
