The phrase “Independent Random Event” is defined by Coach Fav.  When this concept is applied to Casino Gambling, it becomes much easier to appreciate why betting ploys often do not work.  This may be challenging to embrace, but Coach Fav believes that a recreational gambler should have  eyes open. 

To understand this concept, remember that all the dice rolls, rolling roulette balls, and slot machine pulls that went on before you arrived at the casino has nothing to do with what happens next.

In part II Coach Fav  shares  a Facebook comedian’s portrayal (JESSICA MICHELLE SINGLETON)  of a crazy female Pittsburgh Steeler fan.

IN PART III Coach Fav gives his advice on betting futures and a using throw-away money for parlays. He then reminds us that recreational gambling is for entertainment purposes only. Do not try to make a living by casino play or sports bets.  Risky-Risky-Risky!

A trip to Notre Dame for a grandson’s football camp finds us atFour Winds Casinos, South Bend. This sparking clean tribal casino offers amazing dining choices,  craps choices galore, and several thousand slot machines.. Janie gives her list of tips and concerns while we are on tour of America’s casinos. Janie talks about a man who won over $177,000  on an 88 cent bet at Four Winds Casino, South Bend this June. She also talks about a West Virginia  casino, “Mountaineer.”  Inexpensive – yet very nice….

In Craps Talk Coach Fav explains several ways to play the old betting standard, the  Iron Cross. Coach Fav explains how “charting dice” is akin to insanity as “dice do not have a MEMORY”   Regardless of your game time notes, dice never change in that there are more ways to throw a 7 than any other number. There are more ways to throw a 6 and 8 than any other number than the 7.  And on it goes and goes. If you enjoy writing your play down while at a live table, go right ahead. However, it will not help you one bit., Ouch”. Finally if your Iron Cross does not have a 5-6-8 bets along with Field Bet, please call it something else. Your play might be Okay, but it is not the Iron Cross.

Coach Fav confesses why he was forced to turn on his Parrot. The podcast goes on to explains an unusual approach to Roulette that Coach Fav tested successfully. It’s a grind but keeps one at the table with more than a 70% win rate.  In “Craps Talk” he uses a system that is “7 friendly” and employs come bets. He calls it 7 Heaven.

Janie and Coach Fav review their recent trip to Rocky Gap Casino Resort in Western Maryland giving the new owners a high grade with the exception that they did not carry over the comps that were earned from the previous gaming company- seemingly starting players over  without much regard for their play history. Nevertheless, Janie and Coach Fav feel the resort is in good hands.

Coach Fav explains how placing several numbers in Craps is surprisingly similar to laying odds from the Don’t Pass Line. This is an insight that may help you appreciate why this game is so hard to beat.

The travel narrative ends with telling of the final leg of the cross county casino journey. The beauty of Route 40 in early January through New Mexico is stunning. The winning doesn’t end as Coach Fav and Ashley both have strong wins at Mandalay Bay following their celebration dinner: Patrick, Derek, Ashley, and Coach Fav.

Coach Fav opens the show by discussing issues with craps that players often overlook and ignore to their own detriment, particularly the “system players” who think they have a foolproof approach to the game.

Today’s Feature Story relies on a phone call to Maryland for a talk with  a fantasy football guru, The XMan, who enjoys talking this game and explains “exactly” how to start a league of your own. Coach Fav really enjoyed this call admitting that he knows very little about fantasy football except that he appreciates how much people who play learn about the teams. It all sounds very enjoyable for little costs excepting having a smart phone to use.

Coach Fav applies a little satire to a rather rare coaching mistake by the Notre Dame staff and players. With seconds left in the game, they only had 10 men on the field. Ouch!  Ohio State scored in the final seconds running exactly at an empty space on the Irish’s defensive line.
