Pastoral Chat: In the New Covenant, giving is meant to be a heartfelt, Spirit-led act—not something done under pressure or compulsion. While the Old Covenant required a 10% tithe to support the Levitical priesthood, the New Testament emphasizes generosity based on personal conviction and need. Believers are encouraged to support one another and ministers of the gospel, but nowhere in Scripture is a pastor authorized to demand a specific amount of money. True biblical giving is cheerful, voluntary, and directed by God—not commanded by man.

Daily Study: When we speak with the authority God has given us, we are either commanding the enemy to flee or activating angels to work on our behalf. By declaring God's Word and aligning our words with His, we operate under His delegated authority. This causes angels to respond as if God Himself is speaking, moving swiftly to carry out His will in our lives.

Pastoral Chat: Drinking and smoking aren’t sins in and of themselves—there’s no scripture that directly forbids them—but for Christian leaders, there are higher standards because these habits can impair judgment. Many believers on social media flaunt their freedom to drink or smoke as a way of being authentic, but just because something isn’t a sin doesn’t mean it’s wise or beneficial. The Holy Spirit may personally convict someone to avoid these things, and in those cases, obedience matters more than public opinion.

Daily Study: We are exploring the power of saying versus praying, emphasizing the authority God has given believers to speak things into existence. Drawing from biblical examples like Jesus, Adam, and Moses, this study highlights how faith operates through declaring—using words backed by belief to manifest God’s promises, particularly in the area of prosperity. Unlike prayer, which is often a request for help, saying is an act of dominion. When we are walking in alignment with God and doing our work well, we have the right to call in our wages and blessings. Just as God spoke the world into existence, and instructed Adam to name creation, we too are called to use our God-given authority to speak boldly and expect results.
