Episode 330 - Fiddy on Diddy!

Welcome to Episode 330 of Broadcast Geeks! On this podcast we discuss all things pop culture provided that our DVR’s have space and our streaming accounts are paid up.  This week, the Geeks (Mitch, Jake & Matt Orrin) are virtually together to discuss all things geek.

The (AI) Geeks are back with a banger of an episode.  We talk about Hundreds of Beavers, almost as if we had already done this on a previous episode that maybe got lost in the ether.  This movie is wildly different than any of its contemporaries but is reminiscent of movies from olden times.  The editing alone should get any film students excited.  Jake expresses concerns over DC's future because of Creature Commandos, while Mitch gushes over it.  We ALL agree that the new Superman trailer looks super. We discuss shows on Apple TV enough that we feel Mitch might become a subscriber.  Will Mitch watch shows that we all watch, or will he continue to watch American Dad?  Stay tuned to find out!

Does Doug Benson age like normal people?  Will Hammer kill again?  We're back from a break and these are some of the questions we are asking!   We discuss great shows, such as the Penguin and Agatha.  Different vibes, but both are very enjoyable.  We also talk about the Wicked movie, which was eagerly anticipated by certain members of the Geeks.  Also, as usual, we talk about movies we've watched since last recording and the new movies coming out soon, such as the new Sonic.  Keep listening because we are too legit to quit!

We're back and gearing up for Deadpool, which drops real soon!  The Boys takes up a lot of time on this episode, and spoilers abound.  However, by the time you read/hear this, you'll probably have seen it all.  We also geek out on Acolyte, the latest Star Wars offering, Nick Cage being a national treasure, and whether or not Mitch made Kelly LeBrock quit X (aka Twitter).  There was talk about mystery shows, like Father Dowling Mysteries,  and which was our favorites.  What is yours?

We talked about a Cowabunga party pack as this was a turtle heavy episode, which isn't uncommon for us.  If you were at a dinner table with the turtles, which other characters would have to be there?  DuckTales came up as there is a rewatch happening, and its glorious!  We also talk about shoes, the new show Tires, and whether RDJ is hard up for some money.  Is he getting in close with Mel Gibson?  Listen and find out!

Apparently, Jake still has opinions on Invincible and he and Mitch discuss it some more, but is there a different outcome this time?  Is Ted Lasso the best show ever?  It's at least the most uplifting show, for sure!  Nickelodeon is getting some press with that new doc featuring Dan Schneider as the evil overlord.  And lastly, Curb Your Enthusiasm has come to its end and we talk about how JB Smoove is as funny as it gets.  Have you watched that last season yet?

Episode 325 - To Me, My Geeks!

Welcome to Episode 325 of Broadcast Geeks! On this podcast we discuss all things pop culture provided that our DVR’s have space and our streaming accounts are paid up.  This week, the Geeks (Mitch & Jake) are virtually together to discuss all things geek.

This week it's only Mitch & Jake but they are definitely not short on opinions!  The episode is mostly about the X-Men 97' that recently dropped on Disney+ and it's real good.  Jake thinks that Invincible is stupid, and Mitch tries to convince him otherwise.  The biggest takeaway, however, is that hurt people hurt people.  Would you agree?

Have you ever seen the movie Ted, starring Mark Wahlberg and the voice talent of Seth McFarlane?  They have a TV show, also called Ted, and that is what Mitch and Jake talk exclusively about.  Is there other conversation?  Possibly, but Ted is funny enough to get it's own episode!

Geeks Assemble!   We're ALL back for this episode, and its a fun one.  We watched Echo and talk about it, especially how they work in folklore about the Chocktaw Nation.  We talk a little about some Horror that some of us have seen, X-Men 97 and its upcoming release and Vincent D'onofrio.  Do we have enough of him, or could we use more D'onofrio in our lives?

It's been a small hiatus, but we're back!  On this episode we had an in depth conversation about the MCU and many of the problems they are facing, or at least were at the time of this recording.  Are they diluting their product, and what can they do to fix whatever is wrong?  We also talked TMNT and sewer powers, as well as Godzilla Minus One which was a great movie!  Lastly, we discussed some of the cool shows such as Severance and Real Husbands of Hollywood.
