It’s been a while, but we’re back for yet another episode. After a discussion about salsa (Mario, help us out!) we make our way through Mike and Chad’s top five list of families in movies (or movie families).

Ep 42 – New Years!

Goodbye, 2015! The Great Mario Campos joins us for our last episode of the year to countdown the top five movies that have scenes celebrating New Years! Chad is up in Collingwood while Mike and Producer Michelle are getting their hot yoga on – no matter where you are, we thank you for listening and for spending your year with us. Happy New Years! Welcome, 2016 and all the great gifts and challenges you may bring.

Ep 41 – Christmas

Straight up double episode night with the John ‘The Goat’ Gauthier, Holly de Goat, DJ Tatz, and the Five Film Pod crew. Everyone runs through their favourite Christmas memories and then we, obviously, run through the top five Christmas memory. What’s yours?

Ep 40 – Tarantino

Mike tells the group about the concerning ingredient in peanut butter. We’re joined by a fantastic group of friends for one of the most fun episodes we’ve recorded to date. John ‘The Goat’ Gauthier & Mrs. Holly de Goat had Five Film over along with John’s brother DJ Tatz for a great group judging effort of the top five Tarantino films.

Ep 39 – Original Screenplay

Chad likes to be flashy but not listen. Somehow he’s really good at remember dialogue and movie facts. Whoda thunk it? Surprisingly, considering both gents’ love of a great screenplay, it took them 39 episodes to get around to running down their top five favourite original screenplays. Alas, we’re here.a

Ep 38 – Microbudget

Mike and Chaddy Shack give WAY too much credit to what Siri has to say but eventually Producer Michelle drops some real truth on the situation. Inspired by a tweet we saw from William Dickerson months back regarding his doc The Microbudget Revolution, Mike and Chad count down their top five films that cost less than $1 million to make. Also, more Stump The Coop. Always more Stump The Coop.

Ep 37 – NYC

Who would the boys trust with their lives and are they men of action? What does that even mean? Producer Michelle has no idea but she did enjoy listening to Mike & Chaddy Shack list their top five favourite movies that take place in the one, the only, New York City.

Ep 36 – Espionage

After years of friendship and many a late night, Mike has finally gained Chad’s true approval: Mike is on IMDB. He’s famous and we have him, ladies and gentlemen… to count down his top five favourite espionage films with Chad. Producer Michelle judges and brings back Stump The Coop, inspired by the mean British host of The Weakest Link… We’ll blame it on James Bond.. and Wine. #SorryCoop

Ep 35 – Remakes

We get a look into Chad’s future with a discussion about “Coop’s” a bar set to open in the Bahamas in 2030 and then make our way through the gents’ lists of their top five favourite remakes. Producer Michelle judges and hosts our new special segment called Stump The Coop in which, you guessed it, she tries to stump Chad.

Ep 34 – Halloween

Guys, it’s here. We know you’ve been waiting. So have we. What you’re going to come to understand, if you haven’t already, is that Chad is a fanatic. A fanatic of all kinds, but specifically about holidays. And movies. And, as this month has enlightened, holiday movies. The holiday in question is Halloween. Chad looooves Halloween. Pumpkin carving, watching horror movies, drinking… Well, the drinking isn’t necessarily part of Halloween but it is part of Pumpkin carving.

I digress. Top five Halloween movies lie within. As does our always amazing, always entertaining guest judge Mario Campos. Have a spooooky Halloween… and all that jazz.
