- 29 minutes 50 secondsSweet 13 Bonus: A Fever and a Two-Year-Old

Sue is one of the originals. She was one of the friends Felice knew from the conference circuit before there was a network at all, and Homeopathy for Mommies has been on this feed ever since.
For the thirteenth birthday, every host on the network answers one real question from a homeschool mom. Here is Sue’s.
Her question: “Your two-year-old has a fever.”
It is the question every mother of a toddler has asked herself at nine at night, and Sue has been answering it on this feed for years. Her segment is on what to do when a little one spikes a temperature — what she reaches for, and how she thinks about it.
A note from all of us: Sue’s show is about homeopathy, and it has never been a substitute for your pediatrician. A fever in a very young child can be serious. Please call your doctor when something does not seem right.
Also in this episode: Felice Gerwitz on whether to homeschool at all · Hal and Melanie Young on boys who will not sit still · Dr. Melanie Wilson on why you are already behind · the 7Sisters on the high school transcript · Meryl van der Merwe on teenagers and AI · Meredith Curtis on getting the joy back · Lisa Nehring on life skills before they launch.
The Sweet 13 Giveaway is open. More than $1,500 in prizes, four drawings across October, and a free party favor for everyone who enters. 5 August 2026, 7:41 pm - Learning to See the Whole Person: Body Language and Homeopathic Case Taking
🌿 This episode is proudly sponsored by Eden’s Table — a Christ-centered herbalism curriculum for K-5 homeschool families. One plant a week, woven through Bible, science, history, art, and Latin.
One of the greatest tools a homeopath has isn’t a repertory or a Materia Medica. It’s observation. Long before a patient begins describing their symptoms, they’re already telling us a story. We simply have to learn how to see it.In this episode, Sue shares why paying attention to body language is a skill every parent should develop. From her childhood on the farm to years of observing people and caring for families, she explains how our posture, expressions, movements, and interactions often reveal what words cannot.
In classical homeopathy, we don’t treat a diagnosis. We treat the person standing in front of us. Is the patient restless or completely still? Do they avoid eye contact or seek constant reassurance? Are they anxious, withdrawn, confident, suspicious, hurried, or calm? These observations become part of the totality of the case. They help us understand the individual behind the symptoms and often point us toward the remedy that best matches the whole person.
In this episode, you’ll learn:
- Why observation is one of the foundations of classical homeopathy.
- How body language can reveal important clues during case taking.
- Why experienced homeopaths pay attention to far more than a list of physical symptoms.
- How parents can become better observers of their children’s health and behavior.
- Why discernment and careful observation are valuable skills for everyday life.
When we slow down and truly observe, we begin to see the whole person. That is the heart of classical homeopathy. Every gesture, expression, and behavior becomes another piece of the story the body is telling.
This is part one of a mini-training from inside Sue’s Homeopathy for Mommies Members Corner. To hear the rest — plus the handouts and over 100 more in-depth mini-trainings on a wide range of topics — come join us inside. 20 April 2026, 7:42 pm - 31 minutes 10 secondsSimple Remedies, Powerful Results: How Homeopathy Is Changing Lives
🌿 This episode is proudly sponsored by Eden’s Table — a Christ-centered herbalism curriculum for K-5 homeschool families. One plant a week, woven through Bible, science, history, art, and Latin.
In this special Homeopathy Awareness Week episode, members from our community share the moments that made homeopathy personal for them. You’ll hear one member tell how she gave her son Belladonna for a painful, recurring ear infection and said, “It worked like a charm… and he never had another ear infection after that.”
Another member shares how, after struggling with postpartum anxiety and depression following the birth of her third baby, she found Ignatia and said, “Within, I’d say, a week, completely anxiety free, depression free.”
You’ll also hear a powerful testimony from a special guest diagnosed with adenocarcinoma in the pancreas, who began a homeopathic protocol while waiting for her appointment at MD Anderson. She shares that her cancer marker dropped from 8800 to 3300 before that first visit, and later said, “I don’t feel like I have cancer, I know that the homeopathy played a big part.”
And woven through every story is the same beautiful thread: fear begins to lift when confidence grows. As one mom put it, “I no longer feel fearful when somebody gets sick… What do I do? I know what to do. I can handle this.”
This episode is a collection of real stories, real gratitude, and real encouragement for the mom who wants to care for her family with greater peace, wisdom, and confidence.

Glyphosate—commonly used in agriculture—is once again a topic of conversation across the country. And while the information can feel overwhelming, this isn’t a new concern.
For Sue, this journey began years ago… Long before it was making headlines. Through personal experience and deep research, she began to uncover how pesticides—including herbicides like glyphosate—were being used and how they could impact families in ways most people never realize.
In this episode of Homeopathy for Mommies, Sue explains the health risks of chemical exposure, the challenges faced by farmers, and offers practical advice on detoxification using homeopathy and supplements. If you’ve ever felt overwhelmed trying to protect your family, this episode will bring clarity, hope, and encouragement.
