Israeli based Obas Nenor caught our collective eye last year with his “My Way Home” EP on Moodymann’s Mahogani Music. Although fresh to many ears he has been crafting music for close to two decades. His latest release is out on Nenorion, his own imprint, and to celebrate he has put together this mix for us.

His dark, analogue yet club friendly sound stuck fondly with us until we heard him again on Steve Mizeks Argot imprint with last years "Mad Blanc" EP. On our recent trip to Japan we were lucky enough to run into a quite happy young man in downtown Shibuya. After a couple of beers and trip down the rabbit hole of dance music banter we realised we had a lot in common. Midori Aoyama is a local dance music promoter and DJ in Tokyo that has run his EUREKA! parties with the likes of Atjazz, Kyodai, Lay-Far and more. We asked him to take us on a bit of journey with some of his fav house records of late. Party time.

This fortnight we are lucky enough to present a live recording from Steve Mizek and Savile- an hour and a half of tunes fresh from their American tour. Argot and Tasteful Nudes label head Steve, and young gun (and Smart Bar affiliate) Savile treat us to some classic house and techno sounds from past and present.

Parisian young techno stars Ka One & St-Sene have been kind enough to put together an hour long mix of some of their finest deep techno tracks. Coming off the back of the incredible “Inside Silent EP” on Ornate music the duo don’t see themselves slowing down in the near future, with their own imprint Flyance records having a strong and consistent output. The pair also have future EPs coupled with Fred P’s ‘Soul People Music’ and Jef K’s ‘Silver Network’ set to be released later this year.
