It's a Guy Thing Podcast - San Antonio Texas

We're just three guys who like to talk about stuff. Not just guy stuff, but primarily that which most women don't care about. We're also proud to be a part of the 210 Podcast Network!

    Episode 32: Star Wars E2P2

The saga (and GIANT SIZED) episode continues with more Star Wars discussions. The guys talk theories about Rey’s parents, Luke’s missing time, who is Snoke, Medichlorians, Palpatine, dead Jedi and their lightsabers, force-ghosts, and even theme music and tons of other stuff.

    Episode 31: Star Wars EIIPI

    Episode 31: Star Wars E2P1

At 1 minute and 45 seconds, cover your ears! The Guys start off with some crazy loud nonsense that allows for a slight music break, which then leads to more music licensing information, and more nonsense. Eventually, they discuss Star Wars, Episode VII! We give first impressions, dive into JJ Abrams directorial style, the future of the franchise, Vader, Rogue One, and all of the intricacies and subtleties that make a movie what is it. Also, is R2-D2 the biggest A-hole in the galaxy?

We loved The Force Awakens, but we still love to tear it apart and postulate our criticisms.

We also allow ourselves to explore the implications of the science and story with their relation to The Matrix, Star Trek, Interstellar, and Contact.

This is a GIANT sized episode, so be sure to tune in next week for the continuation of it.

    Episode 25 - The Guys-Reborn...Again

Just like Heroes, the Guys are Reborn! (Forget that this was recorded before we found out Heroes Reborn was cancelled) Thanks for tuning in or checking the feed, or meeting us for the first time.

We start off by talking about (now old) news about an alligator in the Guadalupe and how Mario isn’t really an outdoor kinda guy. We also got to have our biggest fan on the show, Jeff Riley. Jeff is our only confirmed listener of each and every episode so far. Thanks Jeff!

We also talk about a topic that we’ve spent plenty of time off mic talking about; TV shows that lasted too long or that started off great and then went to shit. We also talk about what we would do if we could create our own 5-6 Season television show and what TV network we’d prefer to have them on.

We’ve got a bunch of shows already completed, so you can feel free to enjoy us again with the safety of knowing that we won’t drop off the planet again in a week or two. Also, this is officially season 2!

Episode 23: New Year, New Grab Bag (Part 1)

Thanks for sticking through the New Year with us! We really hadn’t seen each other for a couple of months, so we really just wanted to touch base and reconnect with one another and share it with the world. This is the first part in a two part jumbo episode of the pure randomness you all have come to know and love.

We talk about used book stores, guitar shops, the Floyd Rose floating tremolo system, Rick’s new pad, Kanye, KISS FM, and local music. However, it takes an hour to talk about them :)

    Episode 22: Christmas 2014

    Episode 22: Christmas 2014

So this is Christmas, our first on the IAGT Podcast, and we wanted to devote an entire episode on some of our favorite Christmas movies, traditions, and some of the stuff we love about this holiday. So sit back, listen to our silky smooth voices wash over you as you down some Egg Nog and check out our guy thing Christmas.

Michael and I talk about how the holidays are different now that we’ve got kiddos. What’s Mirth? Is Christmas your favorite holiday? These are some questions we posit this episode.

What’s your favorite holiday? We each have different reasons why Christmas is or isn’t, maybe you’ve got the same issues or loving memories of these holidays.

We talk about some of our favorite (and least favorite) Christmas/Holiday songs, Trans-Siberian Orchestra (again, listen to last episode), and some traditional songs we all grew up with.

If you’re local to San Antonio, we have a little shout out for Windcrest and their amazing Christmas light displays throughout the years.

    Best Christmas Movies:
Michael's - Mickey’s Christmas Carol, Home Alone, Christmas Story, National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation, & Love Actually.
Rick's - National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation, Christmas Story, Scrooged, The Small One, Bad Santa, Children of Men, and Mixed Nuts.
Mario's - (NOT Christmas Story) The Santa Claus: The Mrs. Claus, Home Alone, Elf, Scrooged, Gremlins, and The Holiday. Oh yeah, and Santa Claus the Movie.

Thanks for tuning in for our special Christmas edition of the show. Now, we want to know what puts you in the Christmas mood? What traditions do you hold dear during this time of the year?
