Have you been wondering what in the world is God doing in your life? Maybe He’s taking you in a direction that seems like the OPPOSITE of where God has said He’s going to take you. Maybe He has removed certain people in your life, or brought certain people back into your life, and you just can’t wrap your head around why God would even do that. Maybe He took you out of your dream job, home, or whatever it is and you just don’t see why God is doing it. Peter was in those same shoes, when Jesus prepared to wash his feet. He was confused, and he didn’t understand what Jesus was doing. But Jesus assured Peter, that what he didn’t understand then, he would have clarity later. You may not understand now, but you will know at the right time. What seems confusing and hard and against all logic now, you will come to know about later. Trust that God can see it all.

Things come against us to mature us, grow us, make us patriarchs and matriarchs of the faith that can stand against all odds. If we want our faith to increase, we must LEAN IN consistently when we face trials.

When you experience severe, horrific, terrible grievances, a hug is not going to cut it. We have accepted bad theology and lies from the enemy about how honest we can or can’t be with God. We see friends fall away from the faith because no one can answer their questions or comfort them when they have lost EVERYTHING. But there is a hard, ugly truth we need to come to know: God wants you to bring your COMPLETE HONESTY to Him. He wants you to tell Him you don’t understand, you aren’t fine, that you’re mad at Him, and that you don’t understand why He has allowed every awful thing you’re facing right now. Those of you who have lost loved ones, children even, to terrible things like suicide, cancer, tragedy, health issues. Those of you who have lost everything, and I mean EVERYTHING, from your possessions to your jobs to your families. Those of you who feel alone and no one around you has anything to say that actually helps. God knows your griefs, and I want to introduce you to the one man in the Bible that knows what it’s like to go through what you have: Job.
