ADHD Workshop -- 090113 -- "3-Rs" and "Right Where I Belong"
This podcast a positive pathway to all ADDers: "The 3 Rs" -- Redefine
ourselves, Re-structure our environment, and Re-negotiate our
relationships. This model works with any disability, but it is
especially important for ADDers who are rarely given the opportunity or
tools to redefine themselves. We as ADDers are often defined by the
medical community, our families, or by the mistaken definitions we place
on ourselves.
ADHD Workshop -- 082913 -- "Einstein & Edison"
Jerry proposes that both Einstein and Edison were ADDers who struggle in
childhood, but forever changed the world as ADD adult who marched to
their own drum. Go to spiritofhopepublishing.com for more on this topic. See the book "Born Losers or Leaders."
In this podcast Jerry shares about ADD/adhd and human intelligence.
His info is based on the work of Dr. Howard Gardner, a developmental
professor at Harvard University. Jerry highlights 7 types of human
intelligence and note the 5 types that ADDers tend to excel in. Jerry
also reads the remainder of the Spirit of Hope brochure.
This podcast focuses on the brain's boss--the executive functions. When
we don't fit in life and our ADD brains begin to misfire. The losses
that we experience affect our behavioral inhibition (brakes) and our
executive function (boss). It can mean that no supervisor or adult is on
duty.
This podcast finishes some of the sub-types of ADD, plus it lays out the
6 functions of attention. It will help listeners understand how their
ADD/adhd impact their ability to pay attention, remember, make
connections, and stay present in the now.

In our second podcast we continue on with the material covered in the
ADD/adhd presentation to parents that Jerry did at the Bellflower School
District. This podcast focuses on the "Common Traits" related to
ADD/adhd. To purchase the entire recording on CD go to www.spiritofhopepublishing.com and purchase the "ABCs of ADD/adhd Resource Guide" -- the CD is included.
