In 2014 a certain record sold on ebay for $14,000. The lucky seller purchased the album at a Goodwill in New Hampshire for $1.00. As it turned out, very few copies existed because the majority of whatever had been pressed had most likely been shipped straight to a landfill by the label as a shady tax write off. And this wasn't a one-off scam.
