In partnership with the Fremont Street Experience, the Vegas Video Network presents FSE LIVE!
We’re heading to Ireland, want to join us? Songs about, well, nevermind. Investing in downtown. Your plans for St. Paddy’s Day are here.
Structuring construction. Producing FSE shows. The Project for Downtown. A first peek at St. Paddy’s Day.
As downtown Las Vegas continues to grow into a cultural hub for the city, this episode of FSE LIVE! focuses on many of the people leading the charge.
We start off with a close look at The Smith Center for the Performing Arts, as we’re joined by Myron (“Hi, I’m Myron”) Martin, President & CEO. We then discover a great new restaurant at the D, learn why Jeff looks particularly snazzy tonight, and wrap up with two footballers who don’t have much use for pads and helmets. (Thanks to the D Long Bar for tonight’s shoot location!)
Remember when we said we weren’t afraid of the cold.
We were kidding.
For this episode of FSE LIVE!, we shoot our first show inside a casino. Specifically, the historic Fremont Casino & Hotel, where a VERY YOUNG Wayne Newton got his start.
Jeff begins the show by chatting with Jim Sullivan, VP/General Manager of the Fremont Casino & Hotel. We follow with David St. John and Kelly Christian (Yellow Brick Road), Sam Cherry (Cherry Development), and wrap up with the scoop on the Chinese New Year with Jan-Ie Low (Managing Director, Golden Catalyst).
After reviewing the past five episodes of FSE LIVE, Jeff decided we had way too many men on the show. So, for this episode, we have our first all-female show, which was shot, appropriately enough, from the Four Queens Hotel & Casino.
Joining us on tonight’s show are our four queens, Lisa Robinson (Four Queens), Heather Riggi (Venus Rising), Alexandra Epstein (El Cortez) and Megan Conklin (Fremont Street Experience).
Oh sure, it was 39 degrees on Fremont Street during the show. And for most hosts, that would be a show-stopper. But did Jeff want to stop the show?
NEVER!
On this episode of FSE LIVE, we broadcast from the upstairs patio of the Golden Nugget’s Gold Digger Lounge and have a drink with the property’s VP of Marketing/Advertising Amy Chasey.
We follow with a little Zowie Bowie, discover newly-opened cocktail bar Commonwealth, and prepare for New Years Eve. (For the record, that temperature reading behind us was wrong Wrong WRONG!)
As we begin episode four of FSE LIVE, the D’s Derek Stevens (co-owner/CEO) describes the huge effort that transformed Fitzgeralds Casino & Hotel to the D. Derek also announces some breaking new about upcoming additions to his property.
We also get Jizzy (Pearl) with it, find the perfect place to play Centipede and Call of Duty (snipers rule!), and get a hankerin’ for some tasty fixins. (There’s a bit of an Easter Egg in the show. Keep an eye out!)
What do you get when you combine the talents behind companies like Walt Disney Co. with the premiere developer of zipline tours?
SlotZilla – the newest attraction set to take over the Fremont Street Experience!
We also practice some “safe sax”, take a trip to The Mob Museum (see discount offer!) and pet some Sick Puppies. Show Notes:
For our second episode of FSE LIVE, we include mobster stories from Tim Lager (GM, Binion’s Gambling Hall) and our first live music segment (Jay Bolan). In Meet the Neighbors, the “human cartoon” Carlos “Big Daddy” Adley shares his plans for a new venture on Fremont East. We wrap with a peek into New Years 2013.
Live from the Fremont Street Experience, this is the premiere edition of FSE LIVE!
Host (and president of the Fremont Street Experience) Jeff Victor is joined first by Mark Brandenberg, co-owner of the Golden Gate Hotel & Casino (the oldest hotel/casino in Las Vegas). We then get up to speed on OctoberFrightfest highlights and wrap up with a doctor who prescribes a 10,000 calorie hamburger.
